FC Housing Fund / Housing Size Poll
« on: December 21, 2013, 01:37:48 pm »
CURRENT HOUSING  FUND: 17,100,000

Tentative Housing Location - Please look in Limsa Lominsa Housing Ward 1 PLOT 1 CURRENT PRICE 20,363,250
Our housing prices are in the first group. Based on general consensus, we are leaving out the tiny house because it is just too small for us. Please vote on the above medium to large options!

Keep in mind we can watch the market and the prices WILL go down as time goes on. So choose accordingly.

what is the difference between the class of the plot?
The glass is neither half-full nor half-empty, it's simply twice as big as it needs to be.

After visiting the different areas, I believe it's the location of the plot. You can have an ugly location or a really nice prime location.

My only issue with going with the large first class plot is the fact ( last I checked ) we barely had the funds for a small 5th class one.

That's with folks knowing the housing was coming down the pipe and already setting aside large donations since no one knew what the pricing was going to look like.

Unless there is some way we can speed up the collection of funds, then it's going to be awhile before we get a plot of land, never mind a house to put on it.

Again just my .02.

Since I haven't looked into it, does the house and items in them give bonuses yet to the FC and/or crafters ? If so, then that's something we'd be missing out on if it's something that won't come for another couple months ( or more ) down the road.

I am in agreement.  We obviously do not have a need for such a large place already.  If we grow to that size then go for a big one.  What is are actual active member base?  I think a medium house is even a bit large for our current activity level.

I say we still aim for a medium and if we get additional funding down the road or more members overall, then we can move up.

To be honest....after touring all of the sites, some of the medium house lots are far superior to the large ones.  If we are going big just to give us all a chance at some space in the house, I will pass.  I would prefer to wait for that for personal housing.  I think we would be best off to find the spot we want and then see how much it costs. I just took a quick tour of the medium house - and to be honest, it's pretty dang big. o.O  3 floors (including a finished basement) with plenty of room for all sorts of furnishings, wall hangings, etc.

The price is moreso within reach, and I think for our intents and purposes it might just be better off than the large.   I'm inclined to agree with Pie - if we all want a personal space of our own, it might be more frugal to go for a smaller FC house and allow us to save up for our own personal houses (if SE implements it).

Yeah the medium first class does look really good. After seeing what the inside of a medium house looks like, I'm adjusting my vote to Medium 1st class.

When I voted I picked both 1st  class medium and 1st class large.   if remove my large vote if I could after visiting the medium house in limsa.
