Good Morning Guardians,
My message today centers, once again, around our struggling Aion Division. As noted in this thread from the TG:Aion forums, our protocol calls for TG: Aion to back on it's feet and functioning by December 31st in order to remain a full Division within The Guardians. Some volunteers within that Division have stepped forward to lend a hand in the rebuilding efforts, but it is a daunting task. Aion is dealing with one of the sharpest and fastest declines in membership that I have ever seen in an MMO. Imagine being in the middle of a crowded mall, then looking around all of a sudden and finding the whole place empty. I imagine that is how most of our Aion Division members must be feeling right now. I feel it's my duty as the leader of The Guardians to give our members there the fighting chance that they deserve before closing the doors on the Division. Once again, I'm calling on those of you who can help to do so. Even if the limit of your capability is posting words of encouragement here on the forums or bumping a recruiting thread somewhere, we need all the help we can get. If you have advice or ideas on how to save this Division, please let us know. If any of you are considering picking up a new game to keep you occupied during the Holidays, please consider Aion. Those of you who have played in the past and want to come back... maybe try to make it a little sooner rather than later. My hunches are that this game still has a lot to offer, and it's my hope that our members will be able to enjoy it as a part of TG for a long time to come. Sincerely, -------------------- ![]() "Keep your fears to yourself. Share your Courage!" |

I remember when the WoW division on Eredar nearly collapsed - there were fewer than 10 people on most of the time, and no raiding could happen - a lot of people had left, those remaining were discouraged and mostly talking about going our all separate ways in WoW or out of WoW completely since it looked like the division was completely doomed for a couple of weeks. But thanks to crazy amounts of recruitment by just a few dedicated people, it's still around today and thriving
Granted, some of the people who were recruited in during that rush flew right back out of TG after a little while for various reasons, but not all of them and not before more good people were motivated to join us. I'm sure that the Aion division can survive - and even though the holidays are a busy time for everyone, at the same time they're a good opportunity for people to give their friends/family games, for people to try new games because they got new computers, or do something during the break that many people have in the near future. So you might see an influx into the game itself, which will help you in your recruiting efforts Good luck Aion members, I'm rooting for you!! -------------------- ![]() WoW - Eredar - Amntakee, 80 NE survivalist hunter || 450 skinner/leatherworker (dragonscale) Noctoile, 80 NE restorative druid || 450 herbalist/skinner Goodheavens, 76 HU holy priest | Cloudedsoul, 72 HU holy paladin | Zuraspir, 54 DR restorative shaman Overtone, Amntalone, Squirrelet WoW - Thrall - Blindstrike, Bloodember, Passingstorm I hunt for truth, honor, justice, and adventure. I know things may look bad now, but you can make a come back. The wow alliance division went through a similar situation. But for a few determined Guardians we brought the division back from almost certain death. It can be done! I wish you all luck and if anyone needs to talk about anything I'm willing to listen and help in any way I can.

wow, I just read that thread, I wish the folks remaining in the TG legion luck, its a shame things like this happen.
If more Active players would focus a little on the health and growth of a guild and put some energy into keeping the ranks rich and lively they would not have to roam to other guilds. But alas, a lot of active players only want to put effort into their next level and advancement while under the safety of a guild where others are doing all that internal work. Rico, I posted a suggestion on that thread you linked, But I might not be fully understanding of how things work in Aion, and it seems it is already to late to consider the idea at this time. Things like this make me want to start doing so soul checking on the SWTOR forums...post some "what if Situations" for discusion. -------------------- Tudana Thunderrage
