Cures for a sore throat?

Anyone have any good remedies for curing a sore throat? I am suffering here!!!

I like to chew a couple of aspirin and swallow it slowly so that it coats my throat. You can't drink for a short time afterwards so that you don't wash it off the tissue of the throat before it can penetrate. There are lidocaine type of gargles and sprays out there that will numb the throat too.

This one should be right up your alley Martini. I recommend a shot of Crown Royal or the whiskey of your choice.

Whiskey is a cure all for almost everything and if it does not get the job done, after enough of it, you will be knocked out either way.

Yeah, add some Jack Daniels to that tea.  I have a co-worker who is very much into homeopathic medicine and she lets us use something called Thieves Spray.  It taste awful but it really helps with colds and sore throats.  I know it has clove oil in it among other things.  Maybe you can find something with that in it.

Gargle hot salt water. Not so hot as to actually scald your mouth, but you want it VERY warm and copious amount of salt. Gargle slowly so its actually slowly 'bubbling' back in the soar area.

Sage tea works too, not good to drink a lot of but does wonders for sore throat when you gargle it
