Hey guys,

Prayers and thoughts go out to the Colorado shooting victims. I truly hope that nobody from our community was involved.

Agreed. What happened was tragic, and some time should be taken to pray for those who were taken from this world. :(

If not religious, maybe just taking some time to reflect on the incident would be enough. However, each person has their own way of doing everything. :)

What's scary is that even before being informed by the police his mother didn't deny it but said yes that's my son and had to call the police. Maybe if she would have informed someone that there was a issue before hand this could have been prevented.

Cowards like this make me red in the face. So stupid and pointless...

This just reinforced my lack of desire to go out in public...

How does no one think a guy having a flak jacket, riot helmet, gas mask, tear gas grenades, an assault rifle, and two pistols, may be a threat? Someone must have seen him gathering that shit over the past few months...

Absolute depravity.

Hopefully the State of Colorado metes out the appropriate punishment.

An absolutely senseless tragedy. I grieve for them.

I am not looking forward to the 24/7 coverage this will receive, and the undignified interviews with grieving loved ones and "experts" who blame any number of things other than the person who committed the acts. I am sure it will come out that he played some video games (MW, Battlefield, GTA, WoW, etc), listened to music that doesn't conform to mainstream standards, and enjoyed off-beat shows or movies. Maybe one day we'll move past all that.

For anyone interested, here's a video about media coverage of mass killings, and why we should avoid the major coverage we give them:
