Hey all, I'm going to be spending most of my time devoted to tournament pvp. Of course there will be times when I do other stuff, specifically when my wife is playing alongside me, or when I just get tired of doing the same ol'. But I'm just putting out feelers to see if anyone else would be interested in an all Guardians tourney team. There will be no hard-and-fast roster, and we will ABSOLUTELY NOT exclude anyone, any class, any role, any skill level, any...ANYTHING. We can rotate you into as many tournaments as you'd like, we can bring you up through never having pvp'd before to being the cream of the crop! Me and my IRL friend Chris (who will be coming along with me, and hopefully joining TG) have TONS of competitive pvp experience, in a plethora of games and platforms.

So, I know it's early, and we have no clue how it's going to shake out, I'm just trying to poke around for interest.

Interested.  Depending on how everything goes game wise.  I may be doing absolutely everything, and quitting my job, and stopping sleeping.

Sleep is overrated, so is eating...

I might be interested, although I dont usually do PvP in games this Game will probably change that considerably.

Usually when i play an MMO i start with donig mostly PvE stuff to level, learn my char, and gear up. But afterwards i spent most of my time doing PvP so i would be happy to jump in if shorthanded.

I was wondering though. In sPvP can you even form groups? I thought it is all random. I guess there has to be some group functionality otherwise you cant have eSport.

My understanding of the system is if you are grouped, and you queue, you stay in group. Didn't have anyone around to test it with during BWE1 tho, maybe BWE2.

I would like to give something like this a try.

My main focus will be WvWvW & dungeons but I can definitely see myself getting into tournaments as the PVP balance in GW2 looks to be good once they get the numbers tweaked.

Great Topic Markstrom,

I am a recent applicant to the Guardians and hope to join you guys for BWE#2.  If my application is accepted I plan on introducing a number of my other friends to the Guardians and we are all hardcore PVPers.  I was able to achieve 20+k glory in BWE#1 and the Stress Test... so count me in + a number of friends of mine as well that will be looking to join the Guardians as well.

I am going to be doing alot of PvE in order to learn my characters.  But in addition to that I am also going to be doing a bit of PvP and WvW.  I did a little of the tournament PvP in the last beta, but got owned on every single character I tried out.  I think part of the problem (I am just horrible at it) is that I am used to playing characters that cannot move when casting skills, so I am was having issues trying to move and cast skills (or forgetting to move).  I also do not have a gameing mouse (yet) which I think would help. 

I really do want to learn the tournament PvP, but I will need help and friendly advice along the way.   :)
