6/28/12 vs 12/21/12

6/28/12 vs 12/21/12.......... The start of Guild Wars 2 vs The End of the World Date according to the Mayan Calender........ :o

My guess we will see both predictions fall flat on their face  :P

.... but here is the picture from the ANET studio's that started the speculation and the Gamestop release date.... and it's only 10 days away (but we know won't happen at this point).

I'll buy into the theory that the date will be announced on that day. I can't imagine that they would just rock the gaming world by dropping the game so unexpectedly. It would be quite amazing though.

Most people have yet to hear the news that they actually found the REST of the calendar about a month ago. The calendar basically has an infinite formula for time.

That being said, not an impossibility that we get a release date by then. But not likely.

I have a prediction that there will be a rainbow on 6/28/12 somewhere in the world. I also have faith that ArenaNet will make the right decision and let us know when the game is going to be released when they feel confident to give that answer. I don't care when it will be, for I will wait for such a magnificent game as if it were a loved one who went off to fight for his country. Bad metaphor, but it's true.

I'd really rather it be at least August. Need to get my computer (only 4 days old) scent in and fixed :/

Definitely could be the day that they announce the release date. But who knows. They're probably trolling haha.

Tin foil hat time...

The last time the red jersey picture was seen they were ordered: 28-6-12 (European dating)

Now the red jersey picture has them ordered: 6-28-12 (American dating)

Now either ArenaNet is trolling the entire Guild Wars 2 community or there will be some big announcement then.

I think you are right - they've been saying that the Announcement of the Release Date is Imminent  :-X

I have a feeling they are half trolling and half have a huge announcement. Maybe it'll be the announcement of when they'll be announcing the release date. Just saying.

Total conspiracy here:
June 28th, 2012 at 14:30PDT (2:30PDT), message from ArenaNet: "it is ready"

That message would throw the entire GW2 community into a frenzy...

I would prefer it if I didn't know the date untill it was out. Time slows down when your looking forward to somthing. Better if it is a surprise.

It would be quite amazing. No matter what the best they could do is still give a date, though. There is no way they could announce a quick launch scenario without working with retailers. Once they come into the picture there is a 100% chance of a leak happening lol.

I think that is a personal statistic with the "100%" ordeal. Though it is likely that if anything like that did come to fruition, there would be a high possibility of a leak. But I don't think it's logical to assume that it would be a 100% possibility of leakage. ArenaNet has been very careful about what they let out into the community so far, why not assume they'll keep up their fortification on their information; afterall, information is a scarce product in this world..

It is very logical to assume that once that information is passed to Gamestop, Wal Mart, & all the other major retailers that their will be a leak. Sure the 100% "ordeal" is just something I stated based off of opinion so it should be taken as that, but I feel completely comfortable saying that there is no chance that they could keep something like that under wraps.

Why couldn't they? They've kept other important things under wraps before. Especially when they were early on in the production of the game. They kept a LOT of information under wraps until they deemed it ready to be released. I don't see why they still couldn't do it now. ;)
