Experience is continually gained even at 80, which results in a skill point per level-up. Skill points are used in the mystic forge to make cool gear, consumables, and specifically legendary weapons which require mastering many parts of the game to make.

It will be 'very obvious' when someone is wielding a legendary weapon. They are no more powerful than other easily obtainable weapons, but have very fancy skins. Rainbow-firing bow, Night-Day greatsword, Liquid-metal-trail hammer among others. These will be the ultimate in prestige gear. Also, much of what goes into forging a legendary requires a player to do things themselves, not just buying it off people. Not sure what exactly that entails.

Orr is 100% events (no renown hearts), often with intricate webs for fail and win states. We will be seeing the original temple of the eight gods here. Mini statues of the gods also exist which have negative effects (one being occasional roots, another being the inability to use your heal) if controlled by the Orrians, so players have a reason to capture the temples, which makes events in general there easier.
We will be fighting Zhaitan at some point.

Here's one tidbit I found interesting:

What're the odds on Bona changing to a class that can use shortbows?

Well I had a feeling there would be an end game with airships that would lead to the fight against Zhaitan in Orr. Can't wait to see what ArenaNet has in store for all of us.


Oh and poor Bona Dea... if he wants a unicorn bow that shoots rainbows he is going to have to roll a Warrior, Thief, or Ranger.

Unless they misspoke in the video, it's a shortbow so only Rangers and Thieves get the rainbow bow.

Those legendary weapons sound amazing.  Looks like my plan of one focused character and a few neglected alts may work out.

Every site that's covered this seems to be a bit puzzled...

Some are saying Longbow while others are saying Shortbow.

Me? I haven't been home all day so I haven't listened to it myself to find out which weapon it is. Will do when I get a chance.

I just went back to that point in the video and Colin initially said bow and Eric continued by calling it a shortbow.  I guess we won't know until someone gets one or it pops up in the wiki.  The only safe choice to get the bow is Ranger I guess.

How the hell does ArenaNet themselves not know what kind of weapon it is...

I think Eric's comment was a clarification of the generic "bow" category.  Neither said longbow so I'd put my money on it being a shortbow.
