That would require some form of self-control which I don't think many of us have at this point.

Many of you have been asking about when we will have our second Beta Weekend Event. As we are approaching a long weekend in many parts of the world, we understand that some of you want to make plans for that. To help you with that we can confirm that we will NOT be running BWE2 this coming weekend.

Our BWE1 was super successful, we exceeded our expectations. As some of you might have experienced first hand, this lead to some technical issues. To make sure we are not running into the same situation for BWE2, we recently had a stress test, and we are currently deploying a lot of additional hardware in our datacenters.

We will be able to tell you exactly when BWE2 will take place as soon as all the hardware has been deployed. We are not withholding a date intentionally, we want to make sure that BWE2 will be a really great experience for all of you.

I hope this helps a bit in understanding where we are standing – you all have a really relaxing long weekend! ~MK

June and July release for Guild Wars 2 was shot down by the publisher NCSoft during their Q1 Earnings Call when they said GW2 was on track for middle to late (closer to late) of Q3.

Well that means their is a good chance I wont be in the next beta. As I will be all the way on the other side of the world on a beach watching the waves roll in. But Eh a Beta is a beta.. But once the game comes out. We can play as much as we want.

So the game is coming out in September ? (( In September then which is when my birthday is ))

Q3 for NCsoft ends September 30th.  So it's likely it will be before then.  It could get pushed back further though.  Nobody really knows.

NCSoft did say they were aiming for sometime in Q3 which is July 1-September 30 (they said it was highly unlikely the game would get pushed back into Q4). If what they said is accurate then they are aiming for the middle to end of then which would be either August or September. And that is in line with the progress ArenaNet is making as well if the internal patch notes leak is accurate.

Well if its August that will be perfect. I get back from vacation and then Install Guild wars 2 and then have fun until the next term of College starts. So August will be fine :D

I kinda like the approach AN is taking with this game, in a mental masturbation kinda way.

Most games would have released by now, to their own demise.

AN has sold us the game emotionally and monetarily but has only used us as
glorified beta testers on what they call beta weekend (Release) but isn't going to
let us fester in a unfinished release as other games do.

Yes I hate being teased, toyed with, drug along...but I hate being disappointed by a deceitfully unfinished final release even more.

Here's to hoping this plan works for them and us...
this is truly mental masturbation at its finest.
