Picking a name for your character may seem like a simple choice, but finding a name that both represents your personality well and adheres to lore standards can be trickier than it looks!

The five races have wildly different standards of naming. A good name will stand out and be instantly recognizable as identifying a member of his or her particular race. These standards, examples and resources can get you started.

I'm bad with using the same 5 names or so for my characters. They all have personalities and a certain characteristics I tend to stick to when making characters. Who knows I may start something new when we play GW2!

As I mentioned in my intro post, I have two pages full of names for every race except human (which I don't plan to play except during beta).  However, I just cannot come up with a last name for my Norn.  I got nothin'!

Norn is easy for surnames.  Take one of your other Norn names and add either "son" or "dottir" to the end depending on the gender of your Norn.
