GW2 | Dungeons and Dungeon Armor Sets
« on: May 01, 2012, 03:22:06 pm »
There are NPCs in Lions Arch that are the dungeon vendors for each dungeon in the game. They are wearing different armor sets for the dungeon they represent and they will also give you information about the dungeon.

Level 30/35: Ascalonian Catacombs
(Story Line: Eir Stegalkin)
"The Ascalonian Catacombs are located on the Planes of Ashford. That cursed place is home to angry spirits of Ascalonians who were transformed by the Foefire."
Heavy Armor Set (Ascalonian):

Level 40/45: Caudecus's Estate
(Story Line: Logan Thackeray)
"It's a Krytan mansion located in Beetletun, home of the powerful and wise Minister Caudecus. I've never been there but I've heard it's a great sight."
Heavy Armor Set (Nobleman):

Level 50/55: Twilight Arbor
(Story Line: Caithe)
"Twilight Arbor is a cavern in Caledon Forest and home to the Nightmare Court. It reflects their twisted and sadistic view of the world. If you head there, be careful!"
Heavy Armor Set (Nightmare):

Level 60/65: Sorrows Embrace
(Story Line: Zojja)
"It's more of a fortification than a series of caves in Dredgehaunt Cliffs. The place is thick of Dredge, of course, and the Inquest are in there doing who knows what."
Heavy Armor Set (Dredge):

Level 70/75: Citadel of Flame
(Story Line: Rytlock Brimstone)
"The Flame Legion's main base, tucked away in the northeast of Fireheart Rise. It's full of crazed Charr, and they're lead by one who thinks he can become a god."
Heavy Armor Set (Flame Legion):

Level 80: Crucible of Eternity
"The Crucible of Eternity is the Inquest's most powerful lab, located near Mount Maelstrom. It's host to nefarious researchers conducting myriad dangerous experiments."
Medium Armor Set (Inquest):

Level 80: Honor of the Waves
"The Honor of the Waves is a Kodan Sanctuary, a massive floating city of ice in Frostgorge Sound. I heard it's actually sinking, but I hear so many stories these days."
Heavy Armor Set (Koda):

Level 80: Arah
"It was the first city built in Tyria, but it's majesty was twisted and corrupted when Zhaitan awoke. It's now a dangerous place, it's history lost to foul beasts and the undead."
Medium Armor Set (Orrian):

Edit: Updated the first five dungeons with the Destiny's Edge hero the story is tied to.

That turquoise crossbow/gun lookin thing looks awesome in the last picture. It actually looks like it is the weapon in the bottom left hand of these concepts. Gives you an idea of the style.

Zyloh, it's a rifle based on Orrian design from the Arah dungeon where Zhaitan is located.

And the picture you added, that's the rest of the set.

Nearly every picture on this page has me LESS excited for GW2.  No offense to people who dig it... this highlights all the things I dislike about MMOs with a heavy Asian influence... although suprisingling they are all well armored... generally the lady folk only need to protect 2 or 3 specific areas while in combat.
Thranx - Ogre Shadow Knight 60 | Thranx - Zabrak Droid Engineer and Tailor Master | Thranx - Thestran Ranger 50 | Thranx - Dwarven Engineer 40
Thranx - Stygian Ranger 80 | Thranx - Mathosian Marksman 50 | Thranx - Human Consular 18 | Thranx - Human Ranger 80

Don't worry Thranx, you aren't the only one =)  I don't like most of these outfits, even thought they are a limited few chosen...I'm just gonna hope there are a few decent sets for transmute.
