A couple things on there are confusing. There seems to be a bunch of stuff about the mystic forge. Anybody know
what that is?

Edit: I think it's just the general crafting UI.

Mystic Forge is the place where you craft.

Not really. The crafting areas are named after their respective crafting professions.

Mystic Forges are a total unknown right now.

And I don't really trust these notes since there are a few times it mentions level 70+ items which is odd since that would be from the internal client test and not the public event weekend tests.

Edit: Also this.... "Added the Sylvari glow"... The Sylvari and Asura have only been seen on the internal and closed testing clients.

These patch notes are a leak and should not be taken as 100% truth of what we will see changed in game.

Yea... I just don't trust the notes because...
1) there are a lot of errors
2) Mystic Forge / Trait Tiers... never heard of them before, have no idea why ArenaNet would suddenly add them

Also, Mystic Forge is actually an achievement in the game:
Mystic Forge Master- Your contributions to mad science are exceptional.

So as nice as speculation is, to me, these patch notes feel like someone trying to troll the GW2 Community.

I read it with the mind that it could indeed be fake. Some of the wording seems a bit wonky. *shrug* Thanks for sharing it with us anyhoo.

There are two ways to look at it.

1) It's a troll. But if it were a troll why is it so low-key. If I were going to try to troll the community I would put at least one thing in that would cause at least a bit of an uproar. Everything in there looks like it could be legitimate changes.

2) It's an internal development patch list. There are obviously people testing the other parts of the game than what they're allowing the general public to see. That would explain why there's information about Sylvari, the Mystic Forge, and other things the public has never seen. Grammar and wording in patch notes is never 100% correct or normal wording (see every WoW or other MMO patch notes for examples). The devs like to joke around in their notes, and this would be even more abundant in internal patch notes like this that wouldn't normally be seen by the public.

Now I'm not saying I know it's legit or anything but I personally think they are. They should still be taken with a grain of salt though.

As for the mystic forge...

This would make it seem that there is a mystic forge in the game. How can you master something that's not there? Like if there was a Blacksmith Master achievement there would obviously be smithing in the game.

Tagrey... Mystic Forge Master is an achievement title. There are achievement titles for each profession as well. No one has gotten the Mystic Forge Master achievement yet so the information isn't known about it. Everything related to crafting is currently in the game; there is nothing left for ArenaNet to show off about it.

Also... trait tiers, I don't see why ArenaNet would change that system for a third time. The last time they spoke about traits they said they were happy with them and were at the point of shifting some around and moving them between trait lines as well as balancing them.

Edit:
- Troll patch notes... the Mystic Forge honestly. The community is still in an uproar (somewhat calmed down now) about Mystic Chests and Keys. The GW2 Community LOVES to read into things way to literally sometimes and some people are bound to jump to conclusions about the Mystic Forge and if it relates to Mystic Chests/Keys.

- Majority of the tweaks and bug fixes don't even fix the problems and bugs people had in Beta Weekend #1. If these were true patch notes you would see information about tweaks to the Overflow Servers, Melee Combat/Damage, and Graphic Optimization in Lion's Arch.

Really... still feels like troll patch notes to me but nothing is confirmed until the next beta weekend.

If you look on that page, all crafting achievement are 8 tiers. Mystic Forge Master is 5 tiers, it's also currently disabled in the public beta. I'm not saying I think it's another profession that they're adding to the game, but it's definitely something that has to do with crafting that's not publicly accessible.

Every achievement currently in game is tied to something, there is nothing missing. The achievements that are disabled are either A) broken or B) not fully implemented.

The Mystic Forge Crafter... in my opinion probably has to do something with the four crafting disciplines that use a forge (Armorsmith, Weaponsmith, Artificer, Jeweler).

I don't mind speculation. I just hate things that make it sound like there's a major change in the game when all the info posted says otherwise.

Stop raining on peoples thread's. We get it. You believe yourself to be somewhat of an authority on GW2 and you do have a wealth of knowledge, bu tin every thread where someone is having fun with "suspect" information you come in and rain piss on it. It is not fun. Let them have their dialogue and you can agree to disagree. The notes look legit; it doesn't mean they are but they definitely are compelling. They are likely from an internal test. They also do mention a menu option that helps manage groups in overflow servers. Let it go, bro...

I'm just posting my own opinion on the patch notes and posting any relevant info. If I come across as raining on someone's parade then I apologize. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and I respect that. I only posted here to say to me the patch notes seem like a troll post. If anyone disagrees with me, fine. But let it be a constructive disagreement where everyone walks away having possibly learned something from the other persons opinion. Again, I apologize if I come across as sounding rude and trying to ruin someone's speculation post.
