This makes me want to pay more attention to my armor detail...normally i just throw crap on and go!
I rarely use the dye unless Dak yells at me to go TG colors...:/

But an event like this...i wouldn't miss it for the world! will be fun to watch and learn.

In all seriousness though . . . if ANet lets us design our own outfits . . . HANDS OFF DUCK !!!

I want to be the one in the first fashion line of Chez Duck clothing and fashion accessories.

I realized we need a category #6 to add to the list (see OP).......... for Judging our Mini Pets  :P ---- or at least judge them as they relate to the outfit also being judge by the main character.

I'd like to ask everyone a question on this however ------- should the mini pet score add to the character's score?

.... or should the mini-pet score be a "stand-alone" score - not affecting the character's main score at all?

I'm thinking mini-pets could be a themed show, such as a like Pet/Owner lookalilke contest. I don't think I want to include judging on pets for every event, that would get way too complicated.  If someone wanted to use one for their flare moment or part of their costume that's fine, but I wouldn't want it mandatory heh.

I agree with this idea. Mini-pets could bring additional shows into the picture, but it shouldn't become a part of the overall judging process of the fashion event. This is mainly because not everyone will want to spend money on mini-pets and it might bring into play an unfair advantage. :P

I agree - but we gotta have the puppy (mini-pet)  :P show right after the main event (just for fun).... so they don't feel left out  :'(   -------lol - j/k

We still have plenty of time what we want to do in terms of event themes. What is most important is figuring out the more essential details to actually bringing this to life in the world of GW2, such as places, rules, who gets to participate, how to participate, time frames of participation of each judged player, who the judges are, how judging goes about, whether the scoring system will be the cumulative mean of all the judges or if it is just a supplement of all of the judges' scores, etc.

We should also be thinking about how we will advertise the event, who we want to focus as our audience, whether or not we want to try to get ArenaNet involved (and if so, how we will accomplish such a task), and other ideas about awareness outside of the guild in terms of the fashion event. Even these factors aforementioned are more important, in my honest opinion, than what themes the events will entail upon the participants.

Ambrosia and I have decided to explore these ideas during the next Beta Event, instead of leveling up. I suggest that we all form together to brainstorm upon these ideas more than what we have previously done before within this thread. We should also take into consideration mediums of social media in which we will make use of to spread information about this event come closer to the actual manifestation of our creation.

All in all, there are way more important things to take into consideration and focus on than worrying about the themes of the events. :)

Another Guardian Event - besides a Fashion Show - that we should consider (maybe Nightsong should head this one up) --------- is an Exploration Tour -- that may include Jumping Puzzles /- Obscure areas like the Strawberry Farm someone found in BWE#1 / - Lore Areas - with a guided tour - / Diving Platforms into underwater areas / Dungeons (like we did in BWE#2 in the WvW dungeon) /// ........ etc....... (((((((hopefully Nightsong see this and gets excited - seems like he would be perfect for this kind of event )))))))

We can also do sPVP Events - or Tournaments (we have a number people involved with this like Kyuzo, Markstrom (is Markstrom still with the Guardians?) and I could volunteer here too).

...... and of course WvW Events....

I don't think ANET would be all that interested in the other events --- beside the Fashion Show (since other Guilds will have other similar events to the ones above)

I might dye from all the excitement =)  I love all the choices, should be fun! I'm definitely going to be hunting for Amber dye, little sad there wasn't Ambrosia but I'll settle for RL names haha!  I know Nightsong is going to have a purple set eventually for the same reason ;D
