A little about me.

I'm 24 years old. I am an American but I am spending a year in Scotland to study. I am going for a Masters in Web Design. I graduated from Rutgers University for my undergrad.

I've always used gaming as an escape for me. I had a really difficult time in school. I'd rather not mention why until I know everyone better. But it really hung onto me and pushed me into my career and social path.

My other interests include being a history dork. I love going to museums and reading history books. I also really like reading fantasy or scifi books. My favorite movies are between Lord of the Rings, Star Wars and 3rd place would be Harry Potter. I also love Star Trek.
I have a irrational hatred of Babylon 5. I also can't seem to get into Game of Thrones. I didn't like the books either.

I've played many MMOrpg games.

I played Star Wars Galaxies. It was fun and I loved being able to own my own house.
I played Matrix Online. It was cool but really not that good in hindsight.
I played LOTRO, WoW and Guild Wars.

I am also a History Dork that likes to go to Museums and like to read Fantasy books . I am more into Ancient history mainly focused on Ancient Egypt and Greece and Rome. And Some Medievil history as well. What kind of history are you into ?.

I am reading Game of thrones book. And I just cant seem to understand why the author did not focus mainly on the conflit at hand and not with the relationships or how this woman wants to have another child and another woman who brother is making her marry someone without her consent. IF this is suppose to be Medevil era in a fantasy land. Then I wish the author would keep with the era. Which he does with Kings and knights. But Eh.. I am having a hard time reading it myself.

I really like European History. That's the main reason I am studying over here in Britain. I do like Ancient Rome and Greece though.
I really didn't get that far into the series to notice your complaint. I just don't dig the writing style.

Ah European history is intrusting. Ancient Rome is really interesting because of its politics and Ancient Greece is interesting because of the Myths. For European history I have not gotten far into it yet. Although I will most likely focus on Holy Roman empire and France.

I would also Recommend Studying ancient Egypt . IF you are into tombs and temples and Pharaohs. I started in Ancient Egypt.. Went to Greece and then went onto Rome. From their I went into Byzantine Empire and that is where I am trying to get book on. Byzantine empire.. The Eastern Roman Empire :

I never really got much into Ancient Egypt history in school. I don't know it's probably the western mindset. I really don't know much about that era that you are likely to focus upon, the holy roman empire.

I hope their is a lot about the HRE. The Only European nation to have a Emperor besides France which does not really count in my book. Napoleon was hardly what you call a Emperor

Yeah I can understand that. Not many people get into Ancient Egypt. People find it confusing at times because their gods are sometimes Combined and they do not understand the Theocratic Monarchy
