The game started on June 16th has been called, it was a good learning experience for everyone as we got a good taste of late game multiplayer.

I'd like to start a new game this coming Saturday, June 21! What time will people be available?

Civ 5 expansion is giving this a run for its money

I am the guiding light of truth and I am the retribution of murdered allies and family members. I am the torch of honor and beacon of respect. I am the fiery might of valor and relentless defiance. I am the culmination of a thousand fears of villainy against my beliefs and those of my family. I am the conqueror of darkness and the defender of the weak. I am the pursuer of freedom and I am the stalwart last stand of an ideal.

I need help with Endless space. I just feel so bad compared to the AI... I feel like there's something major I'm missed. Is anyone good with the Sower :)?

Sowers kinda got nerfed this week, so its a change for anyone to try them. i am horrible with all races, it takes time to get the in/outs of this one.

Thanks to the nerf you can't ignore food entirely but I still feel the best opening for Sowers is:
  • Industry Exploit on homeworld
  • Tech straight for N-way fusion plants & Core Mining
  • Keep your tax rate high so homeworld and first colony are 'content' until you have 20 dust then drop taxes to the point where empire is Fervent
  • Spend the 20 dust on an Administrator hero and get him to level 3 selecting +3 Labor and then +25 Industry skills.
  • ONLY COLONIZE PLANETS WITH -5 HAPPINESS OR MORE(after +happy modifiers like Psychoactive Air) UNTIL YOU GET SUPERMARKETS, tundra and jungle are your friend
  • If you run out of planets to colonize and your 'fervent' tax rate is still above 20 colonize some -10s until that point
  • ALWAYS MANAGE YOUR TAX RATE EVERYTIME YOU BUILD A HAPPINESS IMPROVEMENT OR COLONIZE A PLANET

Final tip, regardless of what race you are playing managing your happiness & tax rate is the key to EVERYTHING.

Also don't be afraid to join us in multiplayer even as a newbie, hop in mumble and chatter, you will pickup lots of little details and be reminded to buy new heroes several turns late  ;D

Thanks you very much :) i kinda like the look of Sowers and their style. The main problem for me when playing was knowing when and what to research, like i kinda of know the basics of get +Ind on the science tree and the Hero stats I want, its just as you get to around 60+ turns i kinda loose track of what to research, how much to colonize and when to pump ships :)
