Never did try it. I've never tried any of the FF mmos tbh. Let me know how it is!

Dunno what they did to improve it, but it was such a horrible game at launch people were playing for free for the first few months. Oh, and don't try either of the Final Fantasy MMOs without having some kind of supercomputer.

i played ff 11 for over 8 years, its an amazing game but in no way is it easy. after playing wow and rift for a a good bit i can easly say there mostly medium with a few parts harder. ff in general was hard, an example would be like when it started, you wouldent think of lvling past 10 without 5 other ppl. and the closest game to it playstle would be everquest.

Yes, FFxiv is still free.  I've in fact gone back to play it a bit.  Something to do since I never got into SWOTOR beta  :'(

I'm on the Besaid server with a guild called Luna Veneras.  There are things to like about the game, but it does have lots of grinding.  It's still undergoing major changes though, only time will tell.

Yeah I played the other Final Fantasy MMO a couple years ago, One thing I DID not like about it was they deleted your character if you went away from the game without paying for x amount of months, like we all don't do that sometimes the nerve of them to delete data :) Yeah only reason i'm trying FF14 was I got a brand new copy for $20 which every where else its $30 or $40 and it's currently free to play so thought I'd give it a shot.
