Also, Oawa, as a fellow Eva fan, we should both know that artistic endings can be changed.

I doubt Mac Walters was suffering from severe depression at the time he wrote the ending and ran out of money, but I hear what you're saying.

No, just that they did different endings and continue to revise the sequences (even if they are the same, they tell it from different perspectives).

How is potentially correcting the travesty of the ending a cave or caving in?  that they are actually trying is instant respect increase for me (not to PRE DA2 levels).  If they get it right; that would be better.

But there will be more pissed off people if they charge for the correction; I have already seen a comment along the lines of "so, bioware releases games that dont have an ending and then release the ending as DLC"

Personally I think that people also should try to give BW a break and stop their childish cursing to their address.

If they go through with this, they're not correcting anything, just re-telling. Which imo, they should charge for.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with the ending. As with the example Hayt mentioned with Eva, the youtube vid I posted was a re-telling of the series ending in movie form.

If they do this, they have every right to charge for it. It's not their fault people aren't satisfied with their ending. You want a different ending, pay for it.

The problem for Bioware/EA is that 'like it or lump it' business philosophy doesn't tend to produce happy, repeat customers. While I don't agree with them making changes to the story (I think it's super cheesy, and I tend to gravitite towards more ambiguous endings that force some reflection & introspection from the viewer/reader) I do think that Bioware is keenly aware that their sole purpose is to make money, and they want to keep their fanbase happy, so they keep raking in the cash now and in the future.

tldr: I think it's lame, but I understand them greasing their squeaky wheels. I'll be interested to see if they charge for it.

Oh, I fully expect them to charge for the corrected ending.  And if it is any good I will happily buy a DLC to give bioware a chance at redemption.

Him and Casey apparently. It seems he blames Casey more than the writer. An unemotional, purely intellectual ending. I can kind of see that.

When you find yourself agreeing with Hitler, you know that something, somewhere, has gone terribly wrong.

Just dropping this for any about to tackle MP. I think I'll be playing tonight if anyone wants to do some silver/gold. :)

Just finished the game. What was the point of everything I was doing throughout the game? I understand that the actual ending portion was a metaphor for Shepard being indoctrinated by the Borg I mean... reapers.... why did I even bother spending time to gather a big fleet? Honestly?
