Hey everyone!
I have been working hard at alleviating my academic assignment load so that I could host an event. I will be able to host one this month, which is unlike what I mentioned in a previous thread in reference to the events. Due to the perceivable instance of people having plans later in the month, I am calling for an event sooner than not! This event will take place on Saturday, the 15th of December.
Let me know what you think! When a day is picked, I will announce the time of the event(it will most likely be 10 or 11 PM EST [so it is most probable that you can predict that outcome]). 
This month's theme will be Winter Extravaganza! So I whole heartedly expect to see your winter pride! If I see you walking through with flip flops, shorts, a tank top, and sunglasses so help me Grenth that I don't freeze you out. 
If you want to be a contestant of the event, please let me know here (or vote on the poll; I'll have access to the results). More contestants means more pre-holiday fun!
One thing that I will need, other than your votes, is judges. If you are interested, I will work with you to get you prepared for the event! I am looking for about 3 volunteer judges. Let me know if you are interested as soon as possible!
Any questions that you may have will be answered directly by me! I will gladly answer any question you may have, so don't be shy.

I have decided that after some unforgiving tides of events that I will be postponing the TGIF events until the new year has come around (unless otherwise specified through event posting). It is a sad moment for me where I cannot physically host this event, but I will work to continue the spirit of TGIF throughout the months. Hopefully, I will be able to run a December event, even though the odds do not look in my favor for then either. If you have any questions or concerns, please make sure to message me. With the Halloween events coming to a close, I am planning up a second expedition for ultimate traveling glory for those who may not have excavated the corners of Tyria. Like I mentioned in the first expedition thread, I want to help those that have that desire for exploration with their dreams of having a star next to their name.
I would like to get a general idea of what people want to explore, be it level specific areas, climate specific areas, racially specific areas, or cities (again  ).
I plan to have these expedition days on this coming Friday (the 2nd of November) and Sunday (the 4th of November), times still being tentative. If you would like to work on different days with me, please feel free to let me know. If you are having a hard time with exploration of any kind, I will help you find your way!

Hello everyone!
It's about that time of month that Ambrosia and I would start discussing next month's Fashion Event! However, we want to get the community even more involved in this creation that we hold so dear to our hearts. Our next event is tentatively scheduled for November 30th, 10 PM EST (8 PM MST). The location for this event is still not decided, our theme is not consolidated, and the prizes have not been established as of right now. We want your input on what you think we should do so our event can be that much better for everyone!
There should be a poll up for the theme of the event. Some ideas already forming for the possible theme of the event, such as "Fall"ing For Fashion! and even a football themed fashion event. However, I want this event to be a community project where we can all have fun together while still competing and showing off our own sense of style! Let's hear your thoughts on some themes you want to see this month! We even want to hear your thoughts on non-theme related topics. So get your brain a'storming, because this is your time to make a difference! 
**Please note for this event to reach its highest potential in the planning phase, we want everyone to voice their thought without any evaluation from others, an unconditional positive regard in a way. We will then take all of those ideas and transform it into something magnificent once everyone has relayed their thoughts!**

I remember seeing some fantastic plans of doing guild tournament style PvP and other events regarding sPvP in general. I'm curious as to why I haven't seen anything, for what seems like months, in regards to the planning of sPvP events. Have the administratives (officers) just forgotten about it? Is it being neglected for some odd reason beyond just being forgetful? What's going on?
I know that members can still create events, but part of the reason why officers, for specific areas of Guild Wars 2, exist- to provide division members with events to take part in once in a while.
Updates on what the future holds, and possible reasoning behind the neglect of such a versatile aspect of the game, is what is important to me.

I was curious as to a date or time in which I could receive the footage of the Event itself. I would love to have it as an archival piece and as a way to allow people to get an idea of how the event works. I know some people mentioned that they had the videos and also mentioned deadlines that had passed in Mumble, but it would be awesome just to get the video sometime soon due to projected plans of use with the video(s). (I remember multiple people saying they recorded this event. I just cannot remember every person who did due to stressors in my life) Thanks! AHOY Expeditionary Lovers! Do you have a fascination for exploration, treasure, and AWESOME? Do you like danger around every corner? Do you have a desire to feel the grip of death more than you normally do. Or do you just plain out want the 2 Gifts of Exploration? If you answered yes to any of those questions, then you're in the right place! I am coming close to an end to what I desire to do in Guild Wars 2 to better my Elementalist, seeing as how I almost have all my exotic gear and skins that I want, that I have fulfilled the dungeons I want to do, completed my personal story, AND achieved map completion and gotten my title. Because of this, I am taking up a new life mission, that I see as my destiny, to help others with the fulfillment of map completion. Over this weekend (for me, the weekend consists of Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday), I will be holding map completion sessions for all of the cities, starter areas, and level 15-25 zones. I may do other ones this weekend if the demand is great enough. I plan on slowly working people up the zones, and simultaneously "power" leveling people up so they can enjoy higher level content as well as lower level content. Please let me know if you are interested here and I can get a nice group going! When I say group, I will be more than willing to run more than 5 people. We can use Mumble as a communication system and make sure everyone stays together. Approximated Time Frames for Friday-Monday... Oct. 5- Oct. 8
Friday time frame: 7 PM - 3 AM EST (may end sooner depending on who comes)
Friday projected areas: All cities (starting cities and Lion's Arch) and most starting areas
Due to real life events, Saturday's Expedition For Glory will be cancelled. Eudas, however, is running a fine event on Saturday for those interested that missed Friday's events!

  Good evening ladies and gentlemen, badgers and badgettes, Guardians!
I am here today to announce that, after much consideration, Ambrosia and I have come to a final conclusion as to when and where our very first fashion event will take place! We will be holding this fabulous occasion on Friday, September 28th at 8:00 P.M. MDT (10:00 P.M. EST, 7:00 P.M. PDT). The location for this event will be at Minister Wi's Mansion in Divinity's Reach! We wanted to hold our very first event in a special and aesthetically beautiful location to compliment the equally, if not more, beautiful people that will be attending and contending! The two closest Waypoints to this fine Point of Interest are as follows: Kormir Waypoint and Rurikton Waypoint.
Along with time and place, another important factor to take into consideration is the theme that judges will be looking for! For our very first event, since EVERYONE is starting out with a clean and in-experienced slate with these types of events (at least virtually). there will be no specific theme! We want to see you thinking outside of the box and finding your own flavor! Just make sure to keep in consideration the judging criteria (You can find the informational pamphlet within the original TGIF thread linked here: http://www.guardianhq.com/gw2/tgif-the-guardians-inspirational-fashions-event!/).
If you want to actually contend in the event against other wonderful participants, all you have to do is put your in game name, that will be partaking in the judging process, on this thread (what would also be fabulous is if you could tell us what you're excited about in particular with this event!). We will be allowing last minute sign-ups on the day of the event up until the event actually starts, but we will be following a different sign up criteria. If you decide you want to participate last minute, just send a PM in game and we will get you on the roster!
For those who just want to view the event, just come to the location at the time mentioned and you will be able to watch the magic of the fashion event!
Now, for the part everyone may be wondering about: PRIZES. Our first place winner will be winning a rare dye (specifically a white or a black dye, still in the process of being decided) and a hand made signature/profile avatar OF your in game avatar in the winning fashion event attire! Second place will receive either fun items (e.g. gear that looks amazing or have nice stats, or both!) or a small monetary prize. Third place will receive an even smaller monetary prize and possibly even a small amount of crafting supplies. All three winners, however, will be recognized and announced on the Main TGIF thread and hold fabulous honor for being winners in the first TGIF event, linked above!
Keep popping your head back into this thread (and this post specifically) for up to the minute updates on everything pertaining to the event such as pictures, more information, and maybe even a video! Also, if you have any questions, please ask here or send a PM directly to me or Ambrosia!

Before you read this, please take into consideration that I used a lot of gender neutral pronouns of the obscure ne/nem/nir/nirs/nemself variation. I have no reason to discuss the fact that it does not "exist" in our language, nor will I discuss the necessity of gender neutral pronouns in this thread. If you wish to have a discussion on this, take it to a different thread. Just know that I use that specific pronoun set in this thread. For those that would like some guidance on how each variation of the n- based pronouns, please use the following link: http://genderneutralpronoun.wordpress.com/Mixter Yosei Hecate, The Mystic Vindicator of SentienceStanding at around 5 feet 10 inches and weighing around 155 pounds, this Sylvari lets off a magickal aura. Ne was awakened into the third generation of The Pale Tree's children. However, unlike most of her children, who were born with natural plant-like hues, Yosei Hecate was awakened with predominantly white dermal tissue, with blood red splotches on nir hands and chest. Nir "hair" represents that of slightly smaller versions of red-colored banana leaves, that of which are in a comb-over type hair style. Ne has a soft face with a narrow jawline. Nir eyes are red, similar in color to that of an overripe raspberry. The Pale Tree decidedly gave both sexual organ representatives to this young sylvari, making nir a true hermaphrodite. Along with both sexual organ representatives, a human female body type was given to Yosei Hecate. Ne has a slender body type, with somewhat raised dermal tissue pockets on nir chest to resemble a human female's size C breasts. Because of this choice by The Pale Tree, Yosei Hecate has yet, to this day, to make a solidified decision in nir gender identity within the set gender binary. With such fluidity in nir life already, the versatility of the Elementalist's path came naturally to the young Sylvari. Fire embraced nir very forward thinking personality and burning desire to learn and explore the world. Water soothed and nourished nir soul and complimented nir ability to stay cool and collected in high-stress and heated situations. Air wisped through nir soul and personified nir aptitude to think and act swiftly without fail. However, out of all of the elements, Earth gravitated closest to nir heart. Having the rooted and foundational beliefs that all life is sacred and that fortification and grounding in one's life are necessary to survive in the harsh world created a strong bond between Yosei Hecate and the element of Earth. One of the more fond aspects of the Elementalist path to nir was the use of glyphs. The fluidity of the casting of glyphs caused the least amount of restriction with her path in life. Being born from The Pale Tree and finding refuge in the element of Earth helped to condition Yosei Hecate into a life of dignity. No matter the task, ne never faltered or allowed anything to get in the way of the completion of it. Ne saw it as important to stay on task by having a serious and thoughtful demeanor. The young Sylvari also believed that by holding a serious and thoughtful demeanor in a situation, anyone can achieve success. Yosei Hecate was awakened into the Cycle of Dawn. Instead of worrying about the past, ne looks to how the future can be improved and built upon to make life better. Ne holds no ill regard towards any race in Tyria as a whole and always tries to be empathic and experience each walk of life. Through this, multiple lenses can be understood and better perceived. Ne naturally loves to discuss topics of interest and hear what others have to say. The young Sylvari believes that communication is by far the most effective way of getting your initial idea across to someone else. With this empathic approach to socialization, ne is, or tries to be, intimately connected to everything in nir surroundings. After some experience with the world outside of the Pale Tree's embrace and the prejudice that followed, Yosei Hecate felt responsible to fight against the said atrocity. Ne held the belief that all things had a right to grow, and that standing up for the rights of others was necessary for a society to develop properly. Ne has the belief that absolutely no one should be condemned or shunned for being different and that having an opinion and discussion based upon the multitude of opinions out in the world was necessary for actual and significant growth to occur. Ne has a very large distaste towards those that would threaten life and seek to destroy it. In response, the young Sylvari swore to protect life by being it's magickal defender. In order to show respect to all aspects of life, Yosei Hecate wears clothing of each color of the electromagnetic spectrum of light. After much discussion, planning, and crying, Ambrosia and I are pleased to announce The Guardians Inspirational Fashions Event! It took us a long while to iron out the magic behind this player run event in Guild Wars 2, but we've finally gotten everything under control! We will be holding our special events on the last Friday of every month, EXCEPT this one. We hope everyone has their creativity caps on, because you're definitely going to want to get your hands on these fabulous prizes that we're planning on handing out to the winners of these events! We even made a special pdf with tons of information on the dirty details of how the fashion event will happen!

I would like to take the time to recognize some people for this even being possible:
I want to thank Ambrosia for making a big step by pushing for the creation of this event. Without her complete awesomeness, none of this would have happened. Along with being the mastermind behind it all, she also helped with some of the media of the pdf! To be completely honest, she pushed me to work harder than I ever would have, especially since I'm on Summer break from college; I should be sleeping the days away right about now! Nothing got in her way of making sure the fashion event was looking at its best. I look forward to working with you to make our fashion events the best there ever will be on GW2!
I also want to thank Duck for being so grateful in helping us with his graphical and media editing talent! I never seemed to be epicly surprised by what he was bringing to the table! I asked him to do something to the pdf, or anything for that matter, and was blown away at how incredibly amazing his creations were. They were always 20 times better than whatever I had in my head; fantastic work was created by a fantastic guy! Thanks again Duck!
