The sun is rising on a new division for The Guardians. Soon we will have an Elder Scrolls Division and we want all of you to be excited and ready for this new adventure. Thanks to Airic, Savant, Nightsong, Jaedan and others, a great amount of information has been gathered to help us know more about this exciting new game.

What is it?

In case you have been under a rock the past couple of weeks or so, let me tell you a bit about The Elder Scrolls online.
It is a time of strife and unrest. Armies of revenants and dark spirits manifest in every corner of Tamriel. Winters grow colder and crops fail. Mystics are plagued by nightmares and portents of doom.

Four years ago, in 2E 578, an arcane explosion of energy in the Imperial City set off mystical aftershocks that swept across Nirn. Mages died or went mad. Supernatural abominations from the plane of Oblivion, the Daedra, appeared in greater numbers than ever before. The constellation of the Serpent grew so large that it dominated the night sky.

So began the grand scheme of Molag Bal, Daedric Prince of domination and enslavement. His Dark Anchors, vortexes of evil magic, weaken the barrier between worlds, threatening to merge Nirn and Oblivion into a single, nightmarish hellscape.

In the midst of this chaos, three alliances vie for control of the Imperial City and the White-Gold Tower. High Rock, Sentinel, and Orsinium stand as one, united under the rule of the High King in Wayrest,  Valenwood and Elsweyr have forged an alliance with Summerset, and Black Marsh, Morrowind, and Skyrim have joined forces and formed their own uneasy pact.

The Daggerfall Covenant. The Aldmeri Dominion. The Ebonheart Pact.

Three armies will take up arms against the Empire, and against each other, to wrest control of the Imperial City and White-Gold Tower from the dark forces of Oblivion itself.

Where do your loyalties lie?


As the story states there are three factions in The Elder Scrolls Online:

The Aldmeri Dominion:
When word reached the High Elves of Summerset that the Imperial City had fallen under the control of the human supporters of Molag Bal, the Aldmeri Dominion was formed.  The High Elves reached out to the neighboring races of Wood Elves and Khajiit with a plea that their combined forces might prevent the younger races of Tamriel from bringing disaster to the world, as they had so many times in the past.

The High Elves were the original settlers of Tamriel and created the common tongue used throughout the continent today.  They are also naturally proficient with magic.

The Wood Elves inhabit the thick, near-impenetrable forests of Valenwood. They are supreme hunters, guides, and masters in sneaking and thievery.  They are also the most gifted archers in all of Tamriel.

The Khajiit, a proud feline race, are fearsome warriors, proficient with bladed weapons.  They stand proudly at the forefront of every battle.

The power and determination of the Aldmeri Dominion should not be underestimated.


Daggerfall Covenant:
The Daggerfall Covenant is formed by the three races of northwest Tamriel , united by High King Emeric to fulfill a common goal and take back the Ruby Throne.

The Bretons have the gifts of magic and diplomacy. The Orcs are stalwart soldiers and talented armorers who manufacture the finest weapons and armor in all of Tamriel. The Redguards are supremely athletic, and raised to be outstanding warriors from the moment they’re born.

The Daggerfall Covenant’s varied talents make it a force to be reckoned with.

Ebonheart pact:
The Ebonheart Pact is the most unlikely of the three alliances. The Nords and Dark Elves have a long history of conflict, and the Argonians were enslaved by the Dark Elves for thousands of years.

It was the Akaviri invasion that forged a bond between them. Now they are determined to control their own destiny by defeating the Empire, while preserving their own fiercely independent homelands.

The Nords are the brash, boisterous front line of the Pact; fierce warriors and expert weapon masters. The Dark Elves have a natural affinity for magic. The Argonians are the best guerilla warriors in Tamriel.

The combined strength of these unlikely allies makes the Ebonheart Pact a fighting force of extraordinary power.

I am not competing with Tor, but I need to find this and so I figured I would recruit my fellow guildies to help me so that I am not driven mad(der) trying to figure it out myself. Airic introduced me to this song:

Pinback - Proceed To Memory	Small | Large

which I love. However after listening to it, it drew forth a memory of another song that had a similar opening with a much more muted almost whispered (mellow/calming) vocal. I would consider it indie, or perhaps alternative. I am scouring the interweb trying to figure it out and no luck.

So if you know of a song that opens in a similar fashion post it here to let me hear it so I can see if it is the song I am searching for. Not much else to go on, which makes it an adventure...right?

I am pretty sure it was released in the past 3 years or so...that narrows it down right?

Guardians Lead the Way!

It pleases me greatly today to announce to you all that Rift is once again an official division here with The Guardians.

I want to congratulate all of the members that have worked so hard to achieve this, especially the new Division Leader Pie! She has worked long and hard and stayed true to Rift, and I know she will be an excellent leader. I have loved seeing the screenshots. Amberyll and Xaxius have posted many which can be seen here.

There are also several guides that members have posted as well as many other helpful links. Guardians have been putting in quite a bit of hard work so be sure to look through the Rift Forum (you can now find it in the drop down window, Yay).

It is a great game and I look forward to joining you all soon. There are many great changes in Rift and just from looking through the images and the stories I know that it is a game that should be checked out. So, if you have not tried it, give it a go and join our members on Faeblight.

this is one of my favorite times of year. Love the decorations, the lights, the movies, and just the feeling. One of my favorite things to do during the holiday season is watch movies or Christmas shows. So I thought I would make a thread for folks to post their favorite holiday movie, show, or experience.

To start it off my all time favorite is National Lampoons Christmas Vacation. I have to watch it every year and I think one of the biggest reasons why I like it so much is because it reminds me of my family.

These magical goggles allow you to receive training from any video game of your choice. You put them on, and you will receive all of the skills available in that game.

What game would you choose and why?

Hey guys,
I am far away from the area that was hit by Sandy, but I have been keeping an eye on it and it did some major damage! I sat there curious how I can help. When in doubt in times of natural disaster turn to the American Red Cross. I cannot imagine anything like this. I have no idea what I would do in such a case, but it is comforting knowing that there are people out there that come to help in such circumstances. It is just crazy and I hope all Guardians along the east coast are ok.
