Mostly because I want to fly planes, not drive tanks.

I know there is also World of Warplanes but this game is going to (probably within the month) have air, land and sea vehicles all player-controllable. I like the idea of total war, but in a lighter-hearted setting than something like World War 2 Online.

All controllable in the same map at the same time?  How would they balance that out?  World of tanks will have world of planes (it's nearing open beta atm), and world of ships (or what ever it's called).  And they are going to all tie in together for campaigns.  But you won't be able to play with planes, tanks, and ships all in one map @ once.  It would be a balance nightmare for them.
That is my understanding. I could be wrong and maybe it's just naval vs. naval, air vs. air, land vs. land but my understanding is all three at once.

I don't know this Earth and Beyond game. Guess I missed that train? Someone educate me.

I'll be preordering this game when I get paid Friday most likely. I'd been waiting for some deal to do it and the exclusive fighter seals the deal for me.

I should mention that the teams weren't completely AI before the end of the game. I guess the game dumps their names once they leave the match.

Consider this a formal challenge!

Can you best my ground kill count?

I'd like to mention that each and every one of those ground kills was in the reserve crappy German biplane. All three fighter kills were too. One guy finally, after 35 kills, came to get me and shut me down. He brought all his buddies and they wrecked my next three fighters but this was enough for us to win the round! WOOHOO!

Tons of fun this round, come join me in this awesome game!

Also, Maligner, yes you can do single-player campaign or single missions. It doesn't really feel like a grind to me at all but if it ever gets grindy yes you can change it up and still earn XP.

I redownloaded, and I'm firing up a new hardcore character now.

I used both my account name, and my email address... neither worked. The launcher is telling me that there's shard maintencance but it wasn't supposed to start until 9 my time. Oh well, I'll try again later.

Weird, I can log in to the website just fine but the launcher tells me my username/password is incorrect.

It's ten bucks.

I'm not picking it up immediately.

I was thinking of quoting parts of this trailer but the whole damn thing is hilarious.

It looks like another Gratuitous Space Battles, just with boats. Maybe I'll look at it.

You need an Advanced SAS. The regular old SAS is just mechanical stabilization, it is like a big gyroscope you strap on the front of a piece and it sort of helps it stabilize. What you need is an advanced SAS. Advanced SAS controls things like gimbaling engines, etc. It also could be that you have too many control surfaces, which causes your SAS to make them fight each other. I never use regular old SAS modules anymore, it's all Advanced SAS for me.

Make sure you're using plenty of struts in the appropriate places, too. If a place isn't properly secured with struts, it often becomes a wobbly mess which makes the ship overcorrect with the SAS, eventually ending in a death spiral. Your ship shouldn't wobble at all on the way up, or very little at most.

Leave RCS off at launch. It's worthless in atmosphere. Save the RCS for making minute in-space maneuvers and for landing ships on planets with low gravity, or to help with re-entry. Once you're in atmosphere (at least, Kerbin's atmosphere) turn it off. Complete waste.
