I don't know how Amazon shipping works for Canada, but Release-Date Delivery is free for Amazon Prime members, and usually an additional $0.99 for everyone else, so it won't break the bank. However, even with RDD, depending on when the parcel service delivers to your location, you still may not get it until the evening.

UPS normally doesn't hit my place until the afternoon at the earlier, so I will most likely just buy a copy from a retail store and cancel my preorder through Amazon once I receive my early access email.

Cept for I pre-ordered the CE so I can't buy it in store. :(

Anyone know if you can actually use a prepaid card to bridge the gap between early release and the launch? I get cut off 3hrs before launch because of being on the west coast. Of course, I'll probably be in line getting my copy at midnight. Lol but I still want to play in line.

Linda and I are in the same boat. 2 CE's coming from Amazon.ca not scheduled to arrive till the 27th, even w/priority delivery. I'm hoping what Airic mentioned about the box code coming early via email turns out to be the case...

Yes, or they ship them early like the EU sites are.

For those of you who pre-ordered digital editions of the game from Origin.com, you will be emailed your Game Codes starting December 16, 2011.

As soon as you receive your Game Code (AKA 'product registration code'), be sure to enter it on your account under Code Redemption, because as soon as you enter the code you will receive your digital entitlements in-game (i.e. digital items included with the game edition purchased). Remember, your billing cycle will not start until official game launch, on December 20, 2011 at 12:01am EST.

There will be no ‘grace period’ post launch in which those who are in Early Game Access will be able to continue to play the game. In order to continue playing past the Early Game Access period, you will need to enter a valid launch game code and payment method. Please read our FAQ for more information. We apologize for any previous messaging which may have led you to believe otherwise.

@Martini. Thanks. Good to know about the game code for those who pre-ordered from Origin.

Hopefully all works out with you though and getting your copy of the game.

Thanks :) I'm trying to keep a close watch on that forum but it's late so I think I'll go to bed and leave it for tomorrow.

What a poor poor decision on EA and Bioware's part though.... wow.

Just remember that in MMO's all things are subject to change.  They might still allow a grace period despite what they are saying now.  It wouldn't be the first time they have switched things up.
