SWToR Essentials

SWToR has become a giant when it comes to info about all the stuff in the game itself; systems, all the classes and which abilities/benefits they have, PvP/PvE content/info, and no doubt I'm missing allot here. So the idea of the SWToR Essentials is a list of links to pieces of info that would be interesting and handy for everyone to know before we step into The Old Republic. If you have come across an interesting link about anything related to SWToR, please share that link with us with an explanation in just a few words what kind of info the linked article contains.

So if you know an article that you think is important/interesting/relevant for your fellow Guardians to know before launch, please share it with us and it will be included in this first post.

I personally have found torhead.com to be useful. Although it is missing a lot of key information at this time, these holes are going to fill quickly after launch. It is a sister site of wowhead.com and they do a good job over there so I expect more of the same for the SW site.

Torhead will be great - I can say that without any personal misgivings. The reason why they're missing stuff is because everything has to be datamined, and then QC'd, and then QC'd again, and then QC'd against the actual game (which they can't do now, obviously) - and there's a pretty decent layer of protection against it. WoW's API is very open - TOR's API is not. So it will take time, but it will be populated, none-the-less.

If I were to recommend a streamer (aside from our own!), I like Taugrim. His focus is PVP, and he will be playing a Vanguard, but he sampled quite a few in Beta and streamed them, you can watch his VODs on his Twitch channel.

You are a Jedi Sentinel. With seven focus and all cooldowns unavailable, is it better to use Cauterize or Precision Slash to finish off the boss in your Flashpoint? Theorycrafting can give you the answer.
