I so want FIOS even if it is just to have a different choice then Comcast. FIOS is all around me but I live in a condo so they won't put it in. With only Comcast as a choice its hard to get any kind of price break out of them. Maybe I'll call Verizon again to see if they will let me have FIOS.

When my friend called to up his FIOS speed they told him he would have to also up his TV package to get it so it would cost him anyways. Did anyone else have to do that?

I work for Time Warner in Texas and we have 50mbps

Honestly though, those types of speeds right now are more an advertising gimick than anything. There are few machines that can chew those types of speeds and even then, as was mentioned above, You are still going to cap out on what ever the access server is able to pump out.
