Civenge:
Get the laptop with the best gpu you can afford.  It will be your bottleneck.

While I'm not particularly fond of Acer laptops, this one would be better than either that HP or Samsung.  It's a faster processor and a much better graphics chipset.  It's also cheaper! :p

If you need to buy from Best Buy for whatever reason... this Toshiba is a pretty good buy, better than the HP or Samsung.  I like Toshibas, and it also comes in white!

Edit: And this one is way better than any of them!

Spec-wise, the $629 Acer would be the best of the bunch.  But the Toshiba for $599 isn't that much worse at all, and you'd probably be able to buy that in a local Best Buy instead of waiting for shipping.

Martini:
Thanks Tagrey! :D

And yes I kinda have to go through bestbuy so I can use my bestbuy card... Heh.

Really good  advice coming out of here.  The video card WILL be the bottleneck for gaming, so pay attention to that.  Also pay attention to RAM.  I would not recommend buying something that only had 4gb and can't upgrade.

I also like Tagrey's suggestion of Newegg.  I absolutely love best buy (I have upgraded rewards because of all the money I spend there) but I will say for the last few laptops I bought, I went through Newegg, and got a refurb.  You cannot tell the difference from new, and you will save a boatload of cash.

For example,  http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834158375 this HP is in the same price range of the two you posted, but has a better processor, 8gb of Ram, better video card, and plays blu-ray movies.

I'd also want to know if portability/battery life is an issue.  If it isn't, then stick with an AMD processor and ATI card, I would think more on Intel if it is.

If you need portability/battery, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834230417 seems like a great deal to me.  You're not going to have the screen size or the higher end card necessary to run a big resolution, but it will be easy to carry to the coffee shop.

If you're basically using it on a desk all the time,  http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834158412 This has a 17.3 inch screen and build in Beats Audio speakers (and a sub).  Great for watching movies while away for a weekend or having good game audio without the headset.

Either way, Newegg is excellent customer service.  If anything is in any way wrong they will get you a replacement pronto.  (I just had them ship me a new 65 inch tv, free of charge, when it arrived cracked).

Hope you enjoy your new purchase.

I really like that white Samsung one. ^_^ I don't need it to be outrageously amazing. But I do need it to play games well so when I'm out of my house I can take it. :P

If that Samsung is better then the HP with dual cards I posted then I'll go with it I guess.

And yeah I have to get it from Best Buy... :(  If I don't use my card from there I'll have to wait for like 6 months...
