New laptop question...
Martini:
So I'm getting a new laptop soon here. I went yesterday to Best Buy and found this one. http://www.bestbuy.ca/en-CA/product/hewlett-packard-hp-pavilion-15-6-laptop-featuring-amd-quad-core-a6-3400m-black-dv6-6128ca/10171280.aspx?path=247f5ef1cd05d15e628cdb4baf075466en02
Now here's the part I need help with... They didn't have any more in stock so the guy working said he would sell me the demo one for $569 (However when I got home and looked online I discovered it just sent on sale, so I would ask for another discount of like $100..) The return policy is 2 weeks. Should I get the demo one, or wait and get a brand new one when they get more in, providing I still get the sale price?
I go back on Monday/Tuesday to get it so I have to know by then...
Edowin:
Personally, I would wait for a new one. Those laptops run non-stop and are beat up. It's a personal preference. Spending that much money, I'd want a clean crisp product right out of a sealed box! :-)
Sivorick:
Looks pretty solid. That's a decent GPU (even though I hate Raedeons) and the processor is ok. As far as the floor model goes, I wouldn't be afraid of it. Just be careful of any warranty changes.
Cessation:
I have purchased several floor models from Best Buy before and had no real issues with them to start but would highly recommend getting the full on warranty as your hardware life depending on how long it was on the floor could be severely used up. For a laptop I would recommend 2 years as most laptops are completely obsolete within that time. And if you have any hiccup with your equipment call them tell them and have them order the parts and replace it asap without any lost time for you on your computer
Martini:
I think I am leaning towards getting a new one... Just because.. then it's all shiny and not touched or been left running or anything... Hopefully I can order it this week. :D
