Also looking forward to this, release date was late 2013. Which in my mind means mid 2014 :(. No worries though, GW2 hopefully will keep me distracted for that long.

Yeah... at least mid 2014.  Bethesda's gotten better about keeping their release timeframes than they used to, but you can still count on them missing a deadline more often than not.  I think Skyrim might have been the first major ES game that they released when they said they would.  I was given a preorder of Daggerfall for Christmas one year... because it was supposed to be released in early February 1995.  A year and a half later (August 1996), the game actually came out. :P

Reading the article that Airic linked. If ArenaNet with Guild Wars 2 and Zenimax Online with The Elder Scrolls Online can pull off what they want to do with their respective MMOs (a living dynamic world, a soft trinity (no forced tank/healer/damage roles), public dungeons, and three way PvP) then it will be the biggest breath of fresh air for the entire genre. I pray both do well and are able to pull off pushing the genre in a new direction.

There is a trailer out that I saw on gametrailers this morning, but it was just a teaser that was basically the logo spinning around and some voices in the background. Very lame. I really hope there is something more coming.

Please, stop the hype. I'll talk to you all about this after e3 '13 when they show gameplay footage.

I'm VERY skeptical. Being someone who checks every barrel. That Won't work in an MMO. We shall see.

I'm interested for sure. I've never been able to get into the others, I do have oblivion here with me though... Maybe I'll give it another go.

Oblivion is not as good as Skyrim is. In Oblivian you are locked to your professon and Class. In Skyrim you can be both a mage and warrior and you can learn all skill points. and the map seems endless. I mean I been playing for months and I still finding new places to explore (( The game gives you Quests that send you to dungons you did not explore yet )).

You are not locked to your class in Oblivion...

I have always been a big fan of the Elder Scrolls series. I started with Morrowind and then Oblivion came out and it was awesome and better than morrowind (In my Opinion) then came Skyrim which just blew my mind. I would definitely jump on an Elder Scrolls MMO and look forward to seeing more. Sure it could bomb, but it could also be the best MMO ever. Only time will tell.  ;D
