I don't understand people who like Tebow. He can't run a pro style offense, he can't throw the ball and the dude got bailed out by his teammates but he reaps all the reward.  When they lost in the playoffs the tebow fans blamed the defense. WTF?!!! the defense won most of the games he supposedly won.

I know what you mean.  A lot of people seem to like him for his religious beliefs and his being forward about it.  They treat him like he is only pro athlete that is devout.

On the field he sucks, if he didn't suck for the first 3 quarters there wouldn't be any need for 4th quarter come backs and heroics.

A lot of people hate him for the same reason.  There was a level of media coverage above and beyond what any other new QB would have received, he was on the national stage from the first snap for no reason related to the NFL.

I never could figure out if he was pushing it or not... but it doesn't matter, because he sucked.  Fans do fanatical things, hence the word...  blaming others or blaming Tebow outright is expected, not shocking.

So is the $95 million guaranteed or did the Broncos put in performance/health goals that need to be met for that salary?

18 million this year, guaranteed.

If he passes a march 2013 physical $20 million in both 2013 and 2014 seasons with some undisclosed injury protection.

Not sure about the last 2 years

He may prove me wrong, most people do, but I really think this will be his last year. I give him 2 years max.

Those that say that Tebow sucks don't follow football very well.  He only bested John Elway's first starting year stats this past year.

Also... when did he blame his defense for losing?  He broke his ribs in the 1st quarter of that game I thought and that was pretty evident in his gameplay the rest of the game.  The guy was an all-American in high school AND college, won NOT ONE, but TWO national college championships at Florida, and has a Heisman trophy on his mantle as well.  You know... nothing major, he only does well everywhere he goes and knows how to win.

Teams WILL be looking to get him because he's professional, follows protocol, and is willing to learn.

People can knock all they want but he will be good in the NFL because what he lacks he can learn, and what he already has, is unteachable.

I think Tebow is a tremendous athlete and he knows how to win.  He's just not what I would call a prototypical NFL QB.

Are you serious???? Cam Newton is way farther along than he is in the NFL that Tebow is and he has been in the league a year longer.

I didn't say Tebow blamed the defense but all the Tebow supporters did. If I was Tebow I would be giving a lot of praise to his kicker who made some serious kicks for him.

Heisman Trophy means nothing in the NFL, only two quarterbacks in the last 30 years have won a super bowl, Staubach and Plunkett.

Also have you seen all the quotes from Denver players saying how much better there team is going to be with Manning. They don't and never respected him.

I will bet you money that Luck or RG3 have better careers that Tebow. Dude can't throw and after all those years in Football he still can't throw.

What Elway stats did he beat Barnaby? Lowest qb rating? Lowest percentage of pass completed? Least amount of pass thrown? And it was his second year in the league, you should compare that with Elways.

People that say Tebow is good or will be good don't follow or know NFL football very well.

See I can do it too.  Don't like someones opinion, then put down their knowledge or opinion.

The one simple fact remains ; if either of us had opinions that mattered we would be NFL front office people.

I say Tebow will have great success eventually ........ in the CFL.

I don't think Tim Tebow is a great quarterback, but I too think he is a winner. I am reminded of Doug Flutie and not because they are similar physically. Doug Flutie was the kind of player (and QB) who had the drive to play his best and to win. That's not to say he was one of the game's best, only that he managed to win when many put him down. I think Tim Tebow has shown he is capable of good things. Considering his age, I personally think he can grow into a better player. I disagree that he sucks. He has played very poorly at times and he has played very well at times. To me, QB's that suck don't win games. His rushing has made a difference. I personally don't think rushing QB's are worth as much as passing QB's because their career will not last as long, but his upside is very positive. If he doesn't mature as a passer in the next couple of years, he won't last as anything more than a backup. If he does improve his passing game he can be a succesful starter.

I just want to see him do well.  I don't like people's reasons for not liking him and wanting him to fail and I think he's underrated as a football player.

http://www.nfl.com/player/johnelway/2500547/careerstats

http://www.nfl.com/player/timtebow/497135/careerstats

Check it out yourself.  Elway had a 54.9 rating his first year with 47.5% completion rate.  (11 starts)  In Tebow's first year (9 starts) he had a 82.1 rating and 50% completion rate.

I think he just needs to keep starting games and the rest will come on its own.

Or it won't and he'll fizzle out of our memories.  Who knows?  :torynn:

Maligner said it best I think. Tebow isn't a good quarterback, but he is a winner and he can get wins. Tebow has a lot of "intangibles" outside of his stats, and I think that's what made the Broncos so interesting to watch last season.

I think a lot of teams would be happy to have Manning on their team as QB, and I don't think it shows any disrespect toward Tebow because Peyton Manning is simply better. It's not really an insult to say Peyton Manning is a better quarterback, as it's probably true in most cases. He was obviously pivotal to the success Indy had, evident by their performance last season without him. If you have a guy that can make that big of an impact on a team, most teams would be happy to have him.
