$275 is a lot to be a backer, but damn that flight jacket is nice!

Yes it is, but how to explain to the wife...

I just realized that the last bit of numbers in Day 1 match my Star Citizen UUID. Quite 13337! :)

Cinematic Transitions and now Player-character origin stories have goals have been met.

Quote
(FUNDED!) $1,100,000 - Cinematic Transitions: We'll add short cutscenes for various events in game - such as deploying your forces to the battlefield - and for key moments in the single-player story.

(FUNDED!) $1,200,000 - Player-Character Origin Stories: In BATTLETECH, you’ll create your own mercenary character to star in the story. If we hit this funding level, you'll be able to choose one of six origin stories for your mercenary commander's career. Are you the only heir of a once noble family that has since fallen from favor? The bastard child of a famous MechWarrior? You decide.

Stage 2 complete!

We now can customize our merc party completely. Also, the Noble House Scion pledge level got an upgrade, including a non-house version called BATTLETECH. Check the link for the preview and details. And the leather jacket now comes in either gun-metal or black.

This is definitely the silent climb of the campaign. Not much excitement going on, but the numbers are definitely going up, just slower now. I think there's a great chance we'll still reach stage  4 before the end.

As I mentioned earlier, I followed through with my plan to approach my wife about buying a $275 jacket to replace my decades old jacket. So far so good! Now to wait for the just right time....

Muwahahaha!

Haha nice!  I might try this approach.

Man $25 to get this game is quite the deal!

Those source book PDF's are so tempting too.

After reading through the Universe PDF I linked to on the front page, it looks like the peoples that make up the Free Rasalhague Republic have some history with House Kirata (animosity) and ComStar (loose alliance) as the Succession Wars drew to a close. I'm interested in this group given m affinity for Nordic culture. They would of been who I aligned with if MWO turned out better than it did. Any idea if we'll see them represented in the upcoming game? How much presence should they have in 3025? Also: what books, if any, would provide details on them?

Aside from just going full merc and going with my gut on missions, I can't really favor any of the five houses just yet. Hence why I was looking at Rasalhague.

I honestly don't remember lore, it's been so long. I do remember that I always favored Steiner, followed by Davion, but not why. The loose merc factions are interesting, but still just mercs.
