If they let us build our own factions, may just have to start House Libertas

Backer mission... can't not love the Mad Cat... but, The Daishi/Dire Wolf holds such a place of love in my heart, primarily due to this bad boy

I love the battletech TCG.  Meridian, next time we're in the same place for any length of time, we should play it.  I have many cards.  :)

I assume this is an understatement?

I wish.   There was a time when you could buy the booster boxes for 20-30 bucks.   Now they're around $100 a pop. I probably have around 1000 cards... But it's a pretty anemic collection.

So there was one after all, huh? I was thinking it would be cool if such a game existed. Yeah let me know next time you're in town.

There have been stretch and backer goals met the past week but I've been waaaay too busy to post about them. If someone would like to in my stead. Go right ahead.

The short of it though is this: We're less than three days from the finish line. Get those pledges in now if you were on the fence. Otherwise, just wait for release :)

It's a matter of money for me; as always, too many games, not enough money.

Edit: I don't remember how it works, if I choose a small package, can I upgrade it after the kickstarter closes? I'm considering a fairly large one but I don't think I can swing it in a couple of days.

I'm not quite sure. I hope they keep raising funds past the campaign, especially in case they don't reach the 2.5 goal.

OBJECTIVE COMPLETE: Stage 4 - PVP Multiplayer Unlocked!

The following is pulled from the update linked above.

I asked the devs if there would be asynchronous "mail your move" mode, and they said it would not be available at launch, but it is something they're interested in. That would be big for me, as there's a lot of friends I want to play with outside my time zone. - Meridian

Wow! In just over a month, you have managed to fund ALL of the features and content in our BATTLETECH Kickstarter Campaign.

Congratulations on this tremendous achievement!

....

So what happens now that the project has passed $2,500,000? Will we add additional funding goals and make the game even larger in scope?

No.

As we said in our first Live Stream Twitch Q&A session, after Stage 4 is unlocked, additional funding will go towards polishing the features and content we’ve already committed to. After that, any additional funds will go toward funding a Post-Launch Live Team that will continue developing additional features and content. First among them will be Cooperative Multiplayer, which will allow you and a friend to face-off against AI opponents.

So, in the time remaining, please help get the word out to new people who haven’t backed the project yet! They still have the chance to get the game for only $25 and the whole community will benefit from their early faith in the project.

.....

Thanks again for your support and don’t forget to join us LIVE at It's 11 AM PST / 2 PM EST / 7 PM GMT(UTC) / 8 PM CET for our last Q&A session of the campaign!

I did the noble scion package, but I didn't see where to pick the house. Is that post funding or did I just forget to click somewhere?

Yep. Soon after the campaign is done, they'll send a message to access a site called Backerkit that them sort stuff like that. It's a way to get around Kickstarter's restrictions when it comes to choices like that.

NOTE: You'll select your House using Backerkit after the Kickstarter campaign.

You can always just wait and pre-order it when it hits Steam and the like.

Hattip to Thranx for showing me this article on RPS.
