Overwatch: Fun or nah?
« on: February 14, 2017, 01:08:53 PM »
So I've been playing FIFA17 on PC for a good while but I'm getting tired of the scripting and momentum and inconsistent gameplay and looking for something else. Preferrably without a monthly sub, otherwise I'd give WoW a go again. Star Citizen still seems a way off and Star Marine is pretty buggy at the moment from all that I've read.

So I've been thinking about Overwatch but I'm not sure so wanted feedback from y'all. I don't typically like traditional FPS much anymore because of how toxic games like CoD etc have become with cheats and dipshits. Not to mention those games tend to get pretty old and repetitive pretty quickly. But this seems like it might be kinda cool. I would be playing it on PC if that means anything to anyone.

Thanks in advance!

I hadn't played a FPS in a long while until I purchased OW.

Because it's PvP it isn't completely repetitive but the maps will seem like it is.

There are some toxic behavior but it varies.

Blizzard has allowed the WoW tokens, which were used for game time, to be used for battle.net balance. Meaning you could farm gold in WoW and buy other blizzard games.

You could earn enough gold to pay for WoW subscription if you wanted to. Though it's be easier at max level with some professions.

That's some good info. I stopped playing WoW at Cataclysm so I'm probably a bit off the pace for that

OW is fun and they've added more heroes. I just have played it as much since playing WoW.

I'll start a WoW catch up thread when I'm home, it could be good for the guild if someone else is interested.
