Wow.  A few years ago they let slip they planned on 10 acts, and I laughed.  We're at 4 right now, with 5 coming with this next expansion.  5 is entirely new content.  And then...This.  They're getting rid of difficulty modes completely.  Instead, you travel back to Act 1 (Now Act 6) which has changed completely from your time there.  New groups have taken over, zones have changed, the way you get around has changed.  Instead of repeating the same content 3 times to get to end game, you don't repeat anything, at all.

June/July cannot come fast enough.  Path of Exile is such an incredible game.

Yeah seriously.  The worst part about ARPG's has always been having to do the exact...same...thing...THREE TIMES IN A ROW before you can get to end game stuff.

Especially in PoE, Mapping is a ton of fun.  Now, each character you make has to play through the game once.

I might actually make different characters now.  Having to repeat 3 times always meant I only ever played one character per league...

I didn't like the way builds work in PoE (they're all pretty samey despite the skill tree) but I love the way they do the ladder/seasons thing. This just makes it better since you're not doing the same things 3 times.

You should branch out more, I haven't done a single build remotely like any other I've done throughout my entire time in PoE :)

I think it's because I get into it for a bit with new a ladder/season and just kinda google a few builds and theyre all "spammy AoE skill + spammy movement skill + survival stuff". And I hate gender locked classes so that kind of made my build selection narrower :/

Doing cookie cutter meta builds is fine to learn the game,  but it is more fun to come up with your own build.   Pick a skill that looks interesting then the ascendancy then the skill tree then possibly a unique or 2.  I've had some flops and some crazy fun builds.
