Thank you sir!

Slight threadjack: how do we post sigs in the new RSI forums? I'm trying to set it up, but it appears BBCode is a no go. Is it just HTML?
Justification for threadjack: ensuring TG presence is optimum :).

Hi Jag, for the uninitiated, what does AGL stand for? Thanks.

Hi! New guy here, interested in joining you all. I'm a RL friend of Thranx who lives in Redmond.

My wife and I only nabbed a badge for Monday. Saturday night, we're planning to have a game night (since a lot of our friends missed out on badges) at our apartment. Aside from that, I'm good for meeting you guys whenever.

I've liked what I've played so far. The PvE mission that I played was particularly difficult. Reminds me of space sum missions of old! I'm heading xown the imterceptor route but still just have the lynx. Ine of my missions bugged,  which sucks.  It might keep me from leveling as fast.  Not totally sure on that.

In PvE it was great fun to play in our corp.

welcome;

May hold it against you that you know Thranx IRL.  May not; no promises on that.
Welcome to TG Meridian!  Being a friend of Thranx is already one strike against you so watch your step  :P

We each have our cross to bear...

Hi Meridian!

I miss my A-Wing too, but more than anything, I miss my Firespray.

The people I knew who flew Firesprays loved them too.  I flew gunner once for a friend who had the YT. It was so much fun. If you guys ever need someone to be a gunner,  I'll gladly park my fighter and empty loadouts for you.  :-)

I'm ignorant to the series, but from a pure art perspective, the models and art are pretty uninspiring to me. And from presentation perspective, the trailer runs pretty long with repetitive shots. My thoughts are not reflective of what to expect from gameplay, but right now, it doesn't hook me.

I'll try to attend next Tuesday but I normally cannot make it. It's there another, less organized time you all have been playing?

Star Citizen / Re: Hype or Hope

I concur with the above stated that due to its sandbox nature and that it fills a rather big niche that no other game provides out there at the moment, its got very chances,  not to mention $15 million of crowdfunding behind it.

I'm wondering if those angel investors that Roberts eluded to in the inital push even had to put money down.  Maybe that was spoken of since,  but it seems like the game is riding uphill quite fine on its own.

As for hype,  of course it wil let all of us down at least a little,  while blowing our minds in other ways. I have more thoughts on this but I gotta head into work now.

Star Citizen / Re: What will you name your ships?
« on: August 04, 2013, 12:37:31 AM »

Aurora - Riptide Mk I -  (the name was used for my SWG yacht/mobile office)

M50 - Slipstream Mk I - (the name of my SWG and Saga tabletop A-Wing)

Hornet - Rain Hammer Mk I -  (this was the name of my SWG X-Wing)

Star Citizen / Re: What ships have you pledged for?
« on: August 04, 2013, 12:24:18 AM »

I currently have the vanilla Aurora in my hanger thanks to the Digital Scout package from the Kickstarter. I'll be raising up in-game funds towards an Origin M50 to be my primary fighter. I also want to be a courier so I may upgrade my Aurora or get a semi-larger ship for deep space hauls. Not sure what I'll get just yet.

With my M50, I want to be in a scout/jammer roll.
