The only reason I would think Rey isn't Luke's daughter is that it is too easy and doesn't have a surprise twist. If they model episode 8 after 5 like 7 was with 4 then the will want some shocking revelation.  If that isn't Reys parentage then it is probably who Snoke really is and how he knows the dark side

This is why I think she is Luke's half sister.  1) Disney and Jar Jar Abrams seem to want to copy the original trilogy 2) I don't recall seeing a timeline addressed for how many years after the battle of endor/episode 6 just because it was 30 + years between the making of the films, doesn't mean that they wont say it was only 20 or so, especially in order to justify the ages of the Solo kids.

for Rey, I see the following options:  1) Luke's daughter, 2) Obi-wan's daughter, 3) Han and Leia's daughter (to recreate the tension between Kylo and Rey that existed between Luke/Leia before the sister reveal) and 4) Vader's daughter/Luke's half sister

For Snoke, I think he is either Darth Plagueis  or Ezra Bridger from Rebels.

Those are the 2 options I see for Snoke.

I believe according to the official book the time between end of ROTJ until TFA is the same in the movie which was 30 something years

Drim's language differs slightly from US English ;)

I thought everyone knew that Drim wrote in the English Dialect, "Drimese".

She is probably tied to Anakin or Luke as her music has similarities to theirs.

I have definitive proof we were all wrong;

Rey is in fact the descendant of the Great pumpkin (from Charlie Brown!)

PS:  the photo does not do this justice; the Rey costume was actually well done

Rey Jade - Daughter of Luke Skywalker and Mara Jade, former hand of the emperor.  Could be they were married, could be it was a fling and Luke didn't know about her.  Could be it was serious/committed relationship and Mara left when she realized she was pregnant, fearing that she may raise the next Vader.  Luke's long-term bitterness at her disappearance distracts him in the training of the next Jedi order, allowing Ben Solo to slip to the dark side and inevitable betrayal.  Mara leaves Rey on Jakku in desperation as she is fleeing a strike team led by Snoke, a commander in the imperial remnant and its newly formed First Order.  Mara is killed in a battle with Snoke, leaving Snoke heavily wounded and permanently disfigured.

Would be the most delightful nod to the EU, and provide plenty of fodder for non-movie content (books, comics, etc).  Also... Rey Jade is a pretty dope name, despite being a tid bit strippery.
