Gaming Mouse
« on: December 03, 2018, 03:53:53 PM »
Hi guys, I'm currently looking for a new mouse for my computer. I'm looking for something with good DPI, durability and programmable buttons. I currently have a Madcatz MMO7 mouse which is pretty epic. I love how I can resize the entire mouse to fit my hand. Though the left mouse button is finally dying all these years later.

Not sure if there's anything new that's super good out there. Just wondering what you all would recommend.

Thanks.

I've been using a Razor Naga Hex for the last few years and it's worked well across a bunch of games.

I just received in the mail today a new Swiftpoint Z.  I can't tell you my personal experience with it just yet, but people swear they are the best mouse they have ever used.  We'll see...

I use to use the Razer Naga Molten...but been discontinued and can't find on EBAY...I've been using the Chroma for years now...MMO games really need some programmable macro/buttons on the mouse on the fly..in my opinion.

I use the Logitech G600 MMO mouse:

 https://www.logitechg.com/en-us/products/gaming-mice/g600-mmo-gaming-mouse.html

On sale for $35 at amazon:  https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Backlit-Programmable-Buttons-910-002864/dp/B0086UK7IQ/ref=sr_1_13?ie=UTF8&qid=1543883380&sr=8-13&keywords=logitech+gaming+mouse
Thats the same one I use, I love it

I really like that it has a 3rd button on the top.  index finger on LT Click, Middle finger on RT click and ring finger on button 3, which I use as a modifier (shift)

My thumb has the same 12 buttons as the naga with mouse, and with the 3rd button, I get 24 commands on the thumb, using the mouse only

I've gone through a couple G600, they last me about 2 years before they start having double click issues.

Buuuut they're also always at least half the price of any other comparable Razer/Corsair mouse with 12 buttons, unless you count the really cheap brands like Redragon, and it's on sale a lot too in Canada (Usually Amazon). It was $40CAD during black friday, so you might see another sale during boxing week.

I bought a razer naga and the left click button broke and fell off within 4 months. Then I bought a logitech g502 and could not be happier, though it has only been a few months. I guess it depends how many buttons you need and if you are running macros.

G700s if you can find one.  Best all-arounder in my opinion.  Wireless, but can be wired with communication happening over that wire, not simply charging but still operating wirelessly.  Good ergonomics, not crazy.  Additional buttons that are usable but not in the way when you don't care.  Easy to operate additional buttons.  Scroll toggle.
