Nice my best was 348M. Here is top 10 friends who played live or in beta for the longest shot.

Ward.MG -681M
Dritz- 521M
SilencerLegacy AKA Kilmar- 364M
Wesleysnipez(me)- 348M
gsbman (my Broyher)-307M
Jiraxis- 296M
painkiller314 -261M

We got our butt kicked by Ward.MG. Can't recall if was friend off my account or a Guardian but played with him in the division and Claxis would know if he was a member.

Their distance measurements are way off of what they should be.  300m is not far in real life. Its part of basic qualification with iron sights.  In game distances appear a lot further than what they measure it as.

I know it's not a realistic drop. The fact that I'm aiming about 6' above a person in-game to get a 400-500 meter shot is ridiculous. It does add a strange element of difficulty though for anyone 'sniping' and I'm sure it's meant as a balance to the rumored release of pvp. If it was straight(ish) shots up to 500ish meters, everyone would just sniper up and crawl around.

It's still fun when playing with a couple people who accidentally tip off the enemy we're there and I get to plink the enemy snipers at 400-500 yards off water towers and go 4 of 5 shots while trying to do it fast enough so my friendlies don't go down first.

Is your longest shot not in your achievments?  I can't find the official one.  I popped someone at 500m+ tonight but I can't find where it is recorded.

No, you can see avg. kill range, favorite weapons, longest shot, etc.... back when you choose whether you want to log into your game or join a friends, there should be an info button to the right when you hover over yourself or another. It'll give you the 411 on them or you.

lol

Takes him a bit to 'walk it in' at times, but amusing.

Well I finally got the opportunity to get a few long distance shots.  I dont see how these guys are doing 1000m.  My biggest problem is if I back off to 600+ meters then most of the time the guys disappear entirely.  Anway, I was able to get a few 500+ and my best is 598m.  Hopefully I can get into a situation where the guys don't totally disappear when I hit 600m.

I've got my draw distance at a minimum, which may be part of it. I've also found it easier when playing with others since they can be closer and spot, so long as their cool with you stiring up a hornets nest on them at times.
