Has anyone else had issues logging into the accounts page on any of the NCSoft websites?

I had tried to cancel my Wildstar Account a couple of months ago, but realize now that it never went through. I'm still being charged and I can't seem to get logged into the website anymore. I login, and I just get a Page Cannot Be Displayed error. This has been going on for about 3 weeks now, and in any browser or computer I try.

Any ideas how to resolve this? I almost feel like they're just stealing my money at this point.

Up to 2200 about 30 min ago. I'm already down to 1900, so it's going about 10 people a minute. A little faster than yesterday, but still not super fast. Hopefully they make their Tuesday estimation for the AFK fix.

Not really.

If they just throw on servers to get rid of queues, then when the trials decide they don't want to play in a couple of weeks, and Trion is also able to up the capacity caps on the other servers, all of those new servers will be empty, then you have the community screaming that the game is dead. Better that they slowly do it as needed, while raising the capacity on the current servers. Also, the queue problem will be majorly fixed once they implement the new AFK kick system. The biggest problem with the queues right now is that no one is logging out.

I've said it in another thread but want to repeat here. I'm just as frustrated as everyone else. My play time is limited lately due to life and work, and today I let myself sit in queue for almost 6 hours while I was working only to finally get 30-45 minutes to play. It sucks. But it was expected.

Having been a part of more MMO launches than I can count,  this has been an issue for probably 95% of them. A lot of MMO companies have made the mistake of seeing queues, and then opening up a whole bunch of servers to help, only to have those servers' population die off a couple months down the line after the initial subs ran out. This then causes the players who were complaining about queues to then complain about the game being dead. This happened to Trion with RIFT.

It's up to each company to find the right balance, and that's what they're trying to do here. I see a lot of people complaining and saying that they're stupid or don't know what they're doing. I say it's the exact opposite. They're being smart.  The game came out 2 days ago and there's a huge rush of people wanting to try it out. It's up to Trion and XL to try and figure out how many of these people are going to stick around, and the right amount of servers to keep the game feeling occupied.

If you want to point the finger at anyone, point it at those who refuse to log out and find ways to circumvent the AFK timers. That's what's making these queues that much worse.

Now, part of that blame falls in Trion and XL for not having a better system in place to deal with the wall runners and character select screen campers. But, it also may not have been an issue in Korea like it is here. So, now they have to work together to get the technology implemented into the source code without breaking other things, such as people who have to semi-afk while crafting. It's not an easy process, and not something that can be fixed overnight.

With that said, Scott Hartsman has been EXTREMELY open and honest about what they've done already, and what they are trying to do in the short term to alleviate the issue. I have faith that it will all be worked out in the next couple of weeks. It has been in all other launches, and it will be here as well.

So, I ask you fellow Guardians, and brothers and sisters in arms, please be patient. A plus side to this community is there are a lot of us and we can play other games together while we wait. Think of those guildless or in smaller guilds that don't have that added luxury. From what I've seen of AA do far, this game is going to be worth the initial wait and headaches.

And please, don't take anything I've said above as a personal attack. I'm just putting my thoughts in writing.

This is pretty par for the course at an MMO launch. I can't think of any in the recent past that DIDN'T have major queues during the initial week or so after launch. The publisher usually keep the population artificially low to encourage those that are not in an established guild to spread out.

With that said, I've had my own frustrations with it, but it is what it is, and history has shown that the queue will almost non-existent come next week.
