I need to send a fax from my PC

I need to send a PDF file file to somebody else via a FAX number.

I usually use a free fax service. The problem is, it's 7 pages, and the file is 10 MB. It went over the limit. If anyone knows how I can send a free fax, please let me know. Thanks!

Thanks, that's one option, but I'd rather not because the entities I usually send faxes to are so large and disorganized, I'm lucky if they can find the one fax I sent them, never mind 2 separate faxes (even if faxed within less than a minute of each other).

Thanks everyone, I actually fixed this already. What I did: I took the individual JPG pages that made up the PDF, I re-saved them in lower resolution, thereby making them smaller file sizes, then I took the smaller JPG's and remade the PDF with them. Problem solved. :)

Instead of faxing, can you scan it into PDF form and email it? Does it have to be faxed?

Unfortunately, yes. I use e-mail whenever I get the chance. Plus it leaves an irrefutable e-trail.

Silly question.  Do you have a multiple-function printer?  Or do you have a modem on your computer?

I'm checking my specs, it says that I do, but I've never used it!

I should have just got one of those fax modem programs and sent it via the landline. That would be very good to know for the future.
