Black Desert Online / Anyone still in BDO?
« on: December 23, 2018, 06:00:44 PM »
Recently rebought the game for $15 since I had to change my email. Wondering if anyone still plays and if there are guilds that are good to join.

Enjoying the remastered version, it's nice they got rid of the grind somewhat, levelling a character to 50 gets you around 120M silver if not more. Horse training is more simple. Seems like a good investment for a while.

Gadgets, Gizmos, and Computers / Gaming Mouse
« on: December 03, 2018, 03:53:53 PM »
Hi guys, I'm currently looking for a new mouse for my computer. I'm looking for something with good DPI, durability and programmable buttons. I currently have a Madcatz MMO7 mouse which is pretty epic. I love how I can resize the entire mouse to fit my hand. Though the left mouse button is finally dying all these years later.

Not sure if there's anything new that's super good out there. Just wondering what you all would recommend.

I tried to post this several times in a PM. I just googled "Falx SWTOR" and found this.

Who here was there?

Supposedly it's the first of it's class and going for a world record.

Survival Zombie Mankill Simulators / Space Engineers
« on: July 14, 2018, 01:16:47 PM »
So I just got back into the game, and man since it's beta now things have changed. I can't even build a small ship! Can't figure it out lol.

They have a solar system though. I thought of an interesting idea. I know a lot of you played the game. Why not do a friendly 2v2 (or more). We split the players equally (some are more active than others so splitting is necessary). We each get our own planet (maybe need a mod) and get a 2-3 week grace period to build bases, ships, and build colonies. After the grace period it's battle time (at pre-scheduled times of course to get everyone involved).

What do you say?

Gadgets, Gizmos, and Computers / VR

What's the best VR on the market right now. I haven't really been following it much since the Oculus debacle. I know Steam's VR took off pretty good. Was just wondering what are good kits.

I saw Fallout 4 coming out soon in full VR and it really intrigued me.

Gadgets, Gizmos, and Computers / Keyboard Recommendations
« on: February 03, 2017, 07:41:00 PM »
So I have a Madcatz Strike 7. I've had it for 2.5 years. Let me say buying it I was hyped, but it's been a let down. It doesn't support windows 10, so it loses most of its functionality as drivers cant install. Today I hit my space bar and the plastic shattered and the space bar flies off. Typing this is a real chore.

Any recommendations for an awesome keyboard?

What I'm looking for:

Functionality (screen, etc)
Macro keys
Windows 10 support (a must)

I've been eyeing some Logitech g910s, but whats the difference between the Orion Spark and the Orion Spectrum? They're the same price, but both I like.

What do you all say?

Star Citizen / Mad Cats Gaming Keyboard SC Edition
« on: February 03, 2017, 07:28:30 PM »
So anyone who was eying this keyboard, you know I've griped about the drivers never working.

After 2.5 years my spacebar broke. The space bar is mechanical while the rest of the keys are membrane. The plastic broke around the mechanism for the spacebar, it flips off every time I press it. Total let down, though I felt others should know that constant regular gaming use has a risk of breaking it rendering the keyboard useless.

Other Games and Interests / H1Z1
« on: December 24, 2016, 06:05:21 PM »
So I just started watching Walking Dead (I know, I'm weird).

As such I've been dying to play some good zombie base building game. Has anyone played H1Z1 lately? I remember it had bugs but that was so long ago. How is it now?

Other Games and Interests / Skyrim Special Edition
« on: October 26, 2016, 06:42:18 PM »
I believe comes out soon. If you already own Skyrim you get a free copy of Skyrim Special Edition. I believe it features a bunch of bug fixes, texture overhauls and upgrades and a nice ENB.

IMO they probably just shopped the available mods and implemented them into the base game. I already had 4k textures and a nice ENB but will probably check this one out. The console changes look really nice though and I think it unlocks mods on consoles.

EDIT: Since the SE includes all DLCs you need to originally own Skyrim and all DLCs to receive a free copy of SE.

Other Games and Interests / Gwent Beta

The Gwent closed beta is starting this Tuesday, October 25th.

If you haven't signed up, they are allowing people to sign up until the start of the beta. Don't miss out!

I know some still played but apparently there's a new expansion coming out. I thought these were done with.

Though leave it to Daybreak to price a DLC at $140 :P

How many in TG still play?

Other Games and Interests / Shroud of the Avatar
« on: July 24, 2016, 10:45:35 PM »
I know several TG members backed Shroud of the Avatar. I'm not sure what level they backed at but the final wipe (not release) is July 28, 2016. Characters and housing will be persistent from that point forward.

If you're looking for more info on what will be present in the game at that time, or when you can place your house (if you got one in your pledge), check here for the details and lot selection dates by backer tier.

EDIT: If anyone remembers housing in UO, the land rush will be intense.

Other Games and Interests / Fallout 4 Survival Mode
« on: May 31, 2016, 07:56:11 PM »
Hey guys I was just wondering if anyone had any experience with the new Survival mode. I've been trying it out lately and noticing that it has a lot of potential, and it's more like a survival game.

There are several things that I'm finding tricky, and wondering if anyone has any tips. The build I'm running this time through is a stealth pistol and melee type character, probably no power armor (should I use it?).

1) OHKs. I know the damage scale is supposed to be upped by I'm getting OHK'd every time I run into a raider, they just snap headshots off like crazy. Using objects/buildings as cover is somewhat flawed as you can't lean. I've given up using VATS and relied solely on FPS skills (or lack thereof) and it has improved significantly, but I'm always hesitant about going on large missions due to the save limitations. Does anyone have any tips for increasing survivability?

2) Saving. Sleeping to save definitely ups the difficulty, and adds a type of hardcore mode element. Though I find I get weak when I consider key missions and tend to hide back for fear of losing 30-60 minutes of progress. I know there's mods to add quicksaves back but is that totally lame?

3) Food. I know how to do farming and grow settlements. What I don't get is how much food I go through. I'm avoiding eating any and all food that has rads, so I'm thinking vegetable soup and noodle cups are a way of life. Though I can get unlimited amounts of purified water, dirty water is hard to find. Anyone have good ideas for staying fed?

Thanks in advance!
