This applies to the TEST server which may have a limited duration 5.4 test. 5.4 has the 'you need skills to craft beyond basic' and the sacrifice system.
The notes are pretty long so I'm just going to link the source.https://community.crowfall.com/topic/19225-54-snap-test-patch-notes-for-january-5-2018/
This has VIP enabled. which allows for 2 skills to train! I'm not sure about Bank as I'm unable to check.
« on: December 27, 2017, 01:59:20 PM »
Time Bank is a mechanic added that saves time after a skill is complete. The maximum amount of time saved for non-vip is 24h, the maximum for VIP is 30 days. This allows you to sleep at 3am when a skill will finish and can use that time when you wake up to add to the next skill or pip of the current skill you were training.
If you are training right now in 5.3 and you missed some time, I suggest you dump some of that banked time so you can use it.
Each Group PROFESSION, RACE & CLASS has their own BANK so empty them all!

Today we’re revealing another game system: the Sacrifice system. One might ask “why do you need this system?” and it’s a great question. In general, we have reached a point in the project where we are trying to go back and finish systems, not add new ones. So first let’s talk about the design issues that we felt we needed to address, and then we’ll jump into our solution – and why we believe it is the right path.
The basic idea behind this system is that players collect resources, items, and relics and sacrifice them to the Gods for divine favor. This idea dovetails perfectly into our lore, as the central conceit of our game is that the players have been selected as immortal champions of the Gods, Crows sent forth to scavenge the Dying Worlds for resources, relics, and thralls.
You can sacrifice anything for divine favor... which means that anything that allows player to collect resources or items (exploring, harvesting, crafting, looting in PvP, everything) can be converted into advancement. (This means every
item in game has a baseline value to someone.)

IMPORTANT – GF Account Transfer on September 11th
On February 20, 2017 Gameforge and HEX Entertainment announced that HEX Entertainment would again be responsible for publishing HEX: Shards of Fate in addition to its development.Since then, Gameforge has generously kept its servers open to aid players in transitioning collections to HEX Entertainment servers. However, on September 11th, Gameforge will be closing their servers for good. To ensure that your collections are transferred safely, if you haven't previously transferred please follow the steps below:
Log into the HEX client
Accept the transfer agreement
If you are using the Steam client:
Download HEX on Steam.
Create a “new” account on the Steam client (don’t worry, your collection is safe).
Enter your existing credentials & accept the transfer agreement
Because of German privacy law, we need to you take these active steps to move your data onto HEX Entertainment servers. Following these simple steps before September 11th will ensure that your collection is preserved. Please make sure you do so!
If you have been away for some time and don’t remember your credentials, you can use this Gameforge Password Reset link to recover your information.
This transfer is vitally important to keep your collections, so if you have a friend who hasn’t transferred over yet, please let them know. We don’t want anyone’s collections to be lost if we can help it.
See you on the Battlefield,
The HEX Team
That was the first Kickstarter Update, which I ignored, however.. another update was pushed out yesterday if you missed the deadline, which I did.
Backer Reward Recovery
We very much intend to do everything we can to preserve your rewards. If you missed the transition deadline, we may still be able to help. Our engineers have been working on a way we can aid those who supported HEX at the very beginning. If you didn't transition over already, please reach out to our support with your original backer email.
Instructions on how to contact our support can be found here.
We should be able to recover your backer rewards.
The HEX Team

This was posted on the official CF forums in the playtest feedback and I wanted to share. I emphasized the last point because it felt important.
* The location of POIs really matters. Strategically, Balance has easier access to stone and more difficult access to ore. This isn't a bad thing, just interesting.
* It felt like we were playing a game of Civilization where each unit was a human player. Controlling more territory, more securely, enabled us to extract more resources.
* Gathering while you're being harassed is very challenging
* Gatherer and bandit are both fun roles to play, and require vastly different strategies
* Gathering is not as bad as I expected, it required a lot of teamwork and coordination and even being the gatherer felt like I was contributing and didn't make me yearn for a combat role
* I love that being a solo gatherer is so much less efficient than working with others
* Scouts, information, and cartography matter. One raiding party was able to relieve a gathering party of hundreds of ore utilizing a very capable scout and superior information/element of surprise. This was incredible to see from both sides, and both did a great job, all things considered.Source

SWL and Age of Conan allow the use of HTML based scripts to give a 'popup' info panel in game. It's great for wanting to convey more information than posting it in a chat frame.
I'm wondering how hard it would be to create a web based app that has a wysiwyg at top and the code at the bottom? For reference it's pretty simple HTML with some DIV for centering and FONT for size, face and color.
I use a very simple version for my item power (item level), spec and role. The problem is needing to constantly update it as my ilevel increases. I'd like to see others use it and it could be great way to get our guild out in the game. I think it'd be pretty sweet to have in my FAQ script a link on how to easily create these scripts without html knowledge <link to TG webpage>!
/lookingforgroup <a style="text-decoration:none" href="text://<div align=center><font color=#990000 face=HEADLINE>Blood DPS</font></div><br><font color=#66CCFF face=LARGE>iP: 118<br><br>Looking For: Elite 1</font><br><br><font color=#FFFF00 face=LARGE>Can post DPS parse!</font><br><br><div align=center><font face=TSWLARGE><a href='chatcmd:///tell %m I want your deeps'>« PM %m »</a> <a href='chatcmd:///invite %m'>« Group with %m »</a></font></div>"><font color=#FF6600>DPS LF e1</font></a>
This is my script for [looking for group] channel. the /lookingforgroup is the channel name and can be any text/color before the link in chat.
I'm curious how difficult this would be to do? Maybe I should have posted it to the webTG section.

There's a useful post on the TSW forums on how to create an in game popup. SWL doesn't have 'official' forums and I feel the TSW forums will be taken down, eventually. So, this is an attempt to save that post.
You have seen how you can post links in the game and let them open up a window with information.
This is a practical feature in Funcom games, as you can provide a lot of information to those who are interested, but not needing to bother those who are not.
Making this good for services you want to offer for PAX, RolePlaying, Looking for Group and Cabal recruitment.
Below are a couple of examples:

In return we expect you to be a dedicated, long term member that like to participate in raiding and are not afraid to give or receive criticism in areas that needs improvement in order for us to always get better. The reason I post 4 examples is two-fold.
1) to show how it looks like
2) to give you working examples
As these already work in the game, you can take them and modify them with the text you like, rather than needing to start from scratch.
This is indeed my recommendation:
Take a working script and edit it.
In the next post there will be some simpler scripts to start out with, and I will explain how it works step for step.
I am sorry I have to double-post, but there is a limit on how many images you can have in each post on these forums.

So much new stuff coming soon!
Forts and Keeps
Resource Points-of-Interest (Mines, Mills and Quarries)
Control the Map
To sum up: We have a LOT of stuff coming live very soon. As a reminder, it will probably be buggy and unbalanced – so if that really bothers you, you might want to wait until the dust has settled before jumping in to give it a try. Remember, when this version is ready, we’ll move to our “Test” environment first, for short-period testing, before moving it to our “Live” environment for longer periods.
We decided that we wanted to experiment with Crowfall, that our genre had become stale because developers weren’t taking any design risks.
This version starts to fulfill that promise. We fully expect to see some crazy results (like Balance suddenly flipping teams in the middle of a siege).
We went to the trouble to architect a system that would give us a platform to try out crazy ideas.
Let’s try a few and see what happens!

I made a post about the Wallpaper Engine
and just noticed that the link I put changed somehow. I know I copied the URL from steam/website but when the link failed I did an edit and noticed the following:
I was wondering if anyone uses Wallpaper Engine. It's 3.99$ and I think it's a good price from what I've seen of it but I'm not sure how easy it is to build a desktop gif/mov/whatever.
I know for a fact I didn't put https://http://
in the original post. The page might have been http and the our site was trying to force https, maybe. I also remember another recent post where this happened.

Instead of posting each update in a separate thread, I'll start posting them all here with the newest at the top.
June 14, 2017 - FOUNDER'S UPDATE: ABOUT KICKSTARTER REWARDS
- CF uses unique account names as character names so the reward is now redundant and replaced with Arkon Greatsword Relic.
